These young guys all run the short risers now. I ride with at least three young fellers that are all 6’3” or taller. Tall lanky guys that ride like I used to. All short risers and no mountain straps.

I know taller older guys that run super short risers, but they a serious tree riders.
If a person rides in the meadows with their knees locked standing up, a tall rider would be needed.

I remember when left hand throttles and 10” risers were a fad.

Hearing 10% increase on prices next year. How high can sleds go?
We manufacture...our prices are up 35% on a year ago. Raw materials and freight costs have been going up almost weekly for the last 18 months.

I'd say if they keep it to 10% that's pretty impressive! I was expecting at least 15%

Ahhhh the old "supply chain issues so we are increasing prices" excuse....... Trying to beat a record year from 2021 I guess, reel in some more suckers to feed the profit machine for the shareholders. “In this challenging environment, our team’s agility allowed us to continue to outpace the powersports industry in retail sales, gain market share and deliver stronger than expected profitability, translating into record results year-to-date,” BRP chief executive José Boisjoli said in a statement.

My friend just got his xpert last Friday........

I think freeride is the safest bet.

Then it's all kind of a toss up.

Until they price themselves out of the market.
Wages are not increasing to match the increase in living.

A 2000 dollar increase is a huge added cost to a already expensive sled. Diesel is 1.42, premium is approximately 1.70, motels are 150 per night.
It’s going to get worse with the truckers that cannot cross the border anymore.

And a F350 sled hauler is now $100K. The $ ain't worth what it was a year ago. Canadians got a hell of a lot poorer in the last 2 years and most don't seem to have noticed yet.

Shipping sea cans internationally used to be +\~ $5000. Now some are as high as $40,000. This increase is within the last 12 months. That doesn’t include the ground cost increase we’re about to encounter. Now, start thinking about the shortages. Tons of suppliers are getting smashed with extra cost, and the ones that aren’t are increasing their price to what ever the market will bare. Things are only going to get worse.

Back to sleds, the last of 5 sleds our group ordered will be picked up this afternoon. It is a 165 freeride turbo. Our group ordered (2) 175s, (2) 165s. and (1) freeride 165. Freeride was the last to show.

Yuppers,,, most of the next generation will be working poor the rest of their lives...

They will be so broke they'd be lucky too own a lump of coal after 40 years of working...

Oh well,,, the big crunch is on its way,,, all of us knew that carbon tax would sink the ship...

$100 for a small beef roasts and $100 a barrel of oil will finish off Canada next year...

And the big hit hasn't ever happened yet,,, high inflation followed by 10 or 20 +++ years of depression if we're lucky...

Lol

Oh well,,, Eastern Canada 🇨🇦 will be liberal from here on in as they will be the first sink... Ha
