Stacy's sled was upside down more than blue side up all day. Stacy definitely pushed his to the limit and beyond that day. Had Jamie the Yamaha rep shaking his head a few times LOL.
Four strokes will always be heavier due to the complexity of the engine and the extra components required to build them. Chassis weight can only be dropped so much before strength is an issue, especially on a high torque turbo. Anybody who has spent any time on a turbo 4 stroke can attest to how addicting the power is and the lack of fear of an engine failure.
I am interested to see what you decide to buy, and why.
Factory turbo and 4 stroke reliability is definitely interesting.
How much easy weight is there to loose on these rigs?
How are you guys rolling these sleds, doesn't the oil come out the vent? Does Yamaha recommend rolling them?
Curious question how big are you guys that are riding these winders?
I think Eric has 10 lbs on me lol.
Actually your statement is not exactly accurate. There has and is currently allot of R&D of the 4S motors developed and tested that are no more than 10% - 15% in weight than a 2S 800 with much greater HP & Torque... However the questions remains when or will it ever be put into production.
Just saying...

Interesting....there is also engines that have been R&D and tested made of polymers and ceramics. It means nothing unless it is in a production unit so yes 4strokes are a lot heavier then its counter part and will always remain so. So Clode statement is accurate.
Is there anywhere between Vale and Sicamous that rents these? I'd like to try one for a day

Thanks alot E-Z! Likely won't be until late December or early Jan. Really want to compare one to my PC.Pinko get in touch with me and I'll see what I can do to get you on one for a day.
On the rider weight thing I have been saying this for a long time it doesn't matter if your 250lbs or 150lbs you don't need to be a big guy to ride these sleds. I'm a lightweight (160lbs) and can toss a 4 stroke around just like a 2 stroke. Trick is setup and bar positioning same with any sled make it your own and become familiar with it. As for rolling them out of stucks solo I had no issues and nobody else did either. They pop out of the snow and roll out just as easy as any other sled out there.
I see an easy 50lbs to be shed from this sled with the above mentioned modifications, and please stay tuned for details and pricing on MCX upgrades we will he handling all of the MCX turbos for North America from Vernon Motorsports
Thanks to everyone who came out to ride the new sleds for the day. We were the first "Demo ride" worldwide to ride these sleds and your feedback is appreciative. I'm glad everyone enjoyed them as much as I did. If anyone would like any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.
That is a 100% stock sled ? No muffler/can mods at all?
