Why are snowmobilers some of the best friends you could ever ask for?

So someone asked me a question the other day. Why are my friends, mostly snowmobilers? Trying to put it into words, I explained, that snowmobilers always have your back, no matter what time of the year it is. We form strong bonds that are like family. My sled brothers are as close to my heart as my biological brother. Deaner was my "man of honor" at our wedding. Scuba totally gets my anxiety about leaving home when we go on sled trips, and goes out of his way to make sure I don't lose my marbles.

Why do you feel snowmobilers rock?

seems vast majority are always there to help out if possible, on the trail, parking lot or mountain.

very little attitude, even with the real good riders.

seems they are typically totally opposite from the typical person in our society.

yes, some DB's out there. not the norm i find.

I found out years ago that when you ride with the right people no matter what you ride didn’t matter we used to ride with 4-6 guys there was new sleds and sleds held together with ductape but we always had fun riding together if someone needed help we all chipped in really miss those days but lives change

Yup typically great people that will go above and beyond to help a stranger, last season I handed a guy my gas can on the way down Clemina and he was trying to pay me for the 5L I said no way dude, pass it on, 2 weekends later I ran outta fuel goin out of renshaw, fella on a xm pulled up and asked if I was good, told him I was outta fuel, he promptly reached back pulled his linq can off and handed to me and said we had to split it cause his fuel light had been on for some time! I reached in my pocket and pulled out a $10 bill to hand to him and he laughed, said the exact same thing “Pass it on”. Such a small guesture but makes ya smile when you know those people are still out there in this sometimes
cruel world!

Ya i have had similar experiences in the past 20 plus years sledin. U really get to know a person when the **** hits the fan in the backcountry. U can really respect a guy after u get though a bad situation. My best friends are snowmobilers.

Everyone needs friends that's e but I agree sledding buddies are the best. Never had more laughs ever when your out with them. Always have a smile on my face on the way home after a kickass day even after a bad day. Everyone helps each other. Last year a family asked me how to get to one of the cabins so I told my buddies give me 10 minutes so I took the family to the cabin and explained the area. Felt great to do that.

it's easier to form bonds with people from a similar back ground, that also have similar values and similar interests?

just a guess.
