This is so rediculous it is not worth commenting on. No beacon, no riding with me or anyone in our group!!

I don't care about you, but I want people around me that can save me so I can see my kids and grand kids grow up and I will do my best to save them so they have the same enjoyment.
That is the least respect I can show my family and friends

well that is one thing they dont doo they wait and let the people get unstuck them selves ... even in the trees they wait until i am un stuck or if i cant then they come help me, they wait till i am poop right out then they come and bich at me tell me too push on the bar well i just tell them mush dogs mush lol then they take off and as there leaving they yell hurry up lets go as i am try to get my breath and gear back on...

Well thats awesome, but if they can have that kind of common sense then what happened to the rest of it?

Well, you have to make your own decisions on this matter, I just hope we're not reading about you being another statistic because of these guys. Good luck!

This might drive it home to your riding partners - YouTube - Skier films avalanche burying him - Start at 1:02. Ask them what they would do to find you or one of them with out a beacon.Even with the beacons, look how long he was under for. If this doesnt drive it in, then I doubt anything will.

If you takin ZacTracs avy course you might have seen this vid, They guy gets dug out but had his hands are in the straps on his poles and he could not move his arms. You can see him pointing to his face because his mouth is full of snow and still cant breathe. You cant fauk around with this shat it will take you quickly.

I would hit you relatives up side the head with a dumb stick, it will and can happen if you visit the hills long enough. I have never used my equipment in an emergency and never hope to, but I still have it with me at all times during the ride from the truck and back again.

Sledlift....print off the posts of where we are all passing on our condolonces to those that have been in an avalance and never survived. Personally not that a non-family is less important but hollee cow man....how could you live with yourself if you had to attend your brothers and 2 cousins funerals knowing that they could have lived or at least stood a reasonable chance at surviving with the proper gear? I'd be shakin in my boots riding with them...well sory let me rephase that....I woudln't cause I wouldn't ride with them. Asking them to get the gear is not enough....beat them over the frickin head an knock some sense into them man! Stay safe! Ride safe and have fun...get the gear or stay home!

Sorry not to sound mean or anything...but thats like playin Russian roulette with your life bud!

there just playing with there lives and worse yet yours as well :nono::nono::nono: nobody i mean nobody rides in our group with out a beacon, shovel and probe. We check our gear before we head up the trail.
Ran into a bunch of young people from Sask.... 20 or so up at Chappel and a young girl asked me if those where necessary (beacon) and i told her we never ride with out them and that we had a friend that got caught in a slad slide and if not for our beacons well you know what would have happened. Her boyfriend said i was just trying to scare her. I looked right at him a called him a dumb fawking ass and there's no way my daughter would ever ride with people like you.

IF YOU HAVE 5MIN CLICK THE FOLLOWING LINK. COPY AND PASTE IT AND GET THEM TO READ THIS.. TO THEM SELVES AND TO LOVED ONES..
MAYBE THAT WILL MAKE THEM THINK TWICE.

if anyone of them get stuck in a situation.. may as well dive off the mountain call the appropriate ppl and let them know there are buried body's there

friends no no they are family... couple cuz and brother... the guys other then family i have ridden with use beacons...

Family or friends it doesn't matter!!! that little beacon, probe and shovel are WAY more important than the avy backpack!! If your riding buddies (IE family) don't value your life or theirs than you should find others to ride with.
If a avy were to happen to your family and one of your members did not have a beacon chances are S@R will be looking for a body. what if S@R couldn't locate the body wouldn't your family members want to have closure.
Food for thought.
