I dont ride so my support goes to me. LOL.
Toyboy, that's my point exactly. They should support them if their product is being used by a large number of their customers. I brought this up originally about Varda in a thread about Vard
Keep my 2 bits to myself? Sorry to have offered an opinion on your forum!Yes you have your opinion. I'm sure these company's have one too, I'm sure they give 2cents to your opinion. I'm sure they also contribute in ways you will never know and VARDA is just one piece of the pie. I suggest keeping your 2 bits to yourself before bashing a buisness for not supporting one club, there are a lot out there.
ThanksKeep my 2 bits to myself? Sorry to have offered an opinion on your forum!
Who do they support?LOL not my forum but when your opinion might hurt a supporting vendor which i respect, u going to hear about it

I'm sorry to even bring VARDA in to this but it just happens to be the club thats been brought up. I think they have done great things for valemount but as said before
they are not the only club that need buisnesses to help them out. The Maxwell's support VARDA because they ride and live their and good on them. Maxwell tell me I'M wrong in my rant and ill shut up
Oh my. Want to post...............holdin back lool
That's funny when I dropped 15k at riverside I don't recall them asking where I planned on riding?
thinkin you guys are missing the point it is a voluntary donation, when did it become mandatory. yes it would be nice, just as you support those that have the products and services you require or use. so far i don't see anyone being required to support anyone. after a while people get tired of everyone looking for a friggin hand out, now i'm assuming that every business in valemont also supports varda. haha
If they do not know where their customers are riding they do not care about selling snowmobiles. If the majority of the voting public in Alberta and British Columbia had their way we would be sledding in our own backyards with energy efficient, emission controlled four stroke snowmobiles, aftermarket cans would be illegal and accordingly the market for snowmobiles and aftermarket parts in Alberta and British Columbia would see a drastic reduction. If it were not for the ASA, ABC and BCSF and their 50 to 60 member clubs, lobbying governments, publicly countering the well funded greenie movement and maintaining trails, cabins and staging areas the dealers and aftermarket people would be the big losers. Is is through the hardwork and dedicated volunteerism of people on this forum such as ministikman, powderpuff, sledderglen, ferniesnow to name just a few that we are allowed to do what we do. It only makes sense that those businesses benefitting from the sale of snowmobiles and aftermarket parts and service in British Columbia and Alberta should support these not for profit organizations so I am with The General on this one. He did not say the businesses he specifically mentioned should only support VARDA he said a Bronze Sponsor which comes with advertising in brochures, at sled shows, at cabins, etc. is only $250. If that business feels that 4 times as many of their customers ride at Revy they could send $1,000 to the Revelstoke Snowmobile Club, if they felt half as many rode in Mcbride send them $125 as every bit helps. If all your customers are flatlanders donate only to
Tri-County, Alberta Beach, etc. Of the 50 to 60 clubs under ASA, ABC and BCSF only about 30 are in areas that customers of businesses in Edmonton would concievably ride on a relatively regular basis. Set aside $7500 a year in your promotion budget and send all 30 of those clubs $250. What I think the General is saying is that if you are are a business in Edmonton that makes considerable revenues from mountain snowmobiling giving no money to VARDA as one of those 30 clubs is not an option unless you have a damn good reason.
