Whitecourt conditions

A few of us are thinking whitecourt saturday Nov 24 and wondering how the conditions are? I'm a member of the club and I'll get the others to join too with their trail passes..... was always a great time last year.....

Unless we get a dump I wouldn't advise coming out yet. Nothing is frozen under the snow. Creek crossings are open or have enough ice to fool you into trying. Lots of crossings need a ton more snow because the floods of summer left us with steep, high banks that need to be filled in. Guys were out cleaning trails today but I'm not sure if they finished.

Thanks for your continued support to the club Duck. There is enough snow to ride but like Summiteer said, creeks are still flowing a bit and muskeg is not totally frozen. We have been out cleaning trails on sleds but I wouldn't be going out for a pleasure ride quite yet. The only section left to clean is from the Carson cabin North to letter 'O' on the Golden Triangle - hopefully get that done next Saturday if we get enough guys out to help. Looks like we have snow coming in the forecast - yaaaaay!!!

Call Randy at RPM Powersports in Whitecourt - 780-706-2411. He has a 550 Cat that he rents out but won't let it go out until we get a bit more snow around the area.

We sure didn't get the big dump they forecasted - hopefully we get a bit more in the next few days. The snowfall warning has been removed... damn!!

Rode Saturday and Sunday. Left from Grout creek staging area. Good snow for thsi tme of year. Need to still watch for fallen trees if going off trail. Had lots of fun. If i could figure out how to add pics I would.

We rode from Eagle River today- about a foot give or take, and a good base. Enough to throw the sleds around a little

The groomers have been hauled out to their respective areas and the plan is to start filling creeks etc... next week with the sno cats only. Once that is completed, they will hook onto the drags and smotth out the trails. WIll keep you all posted...

that is good news! hoping for another few good dumps of snow up that way.....

Just got back from north west of goose tower and any where from 24-30" of fairly goood solid snow with a hard base of 8''. Was working not playing.

Any fresh snow? Going to be in Whitecourt in between Christmas and New Years and if there is enough snow, I will bring the sled with me.
