.......sitting in my garage having my morning coffee and smoke (I hate painting and my family does not smoke) I noticed a Dandy Long Legs spider seemingly on a mission. At first he was coming straight towards me, I thought hmm.....did I inadvertently ruin his web with the previous nights activity? Was he pissed at me.?
Also I was thinking he couldn't possibly harm me so I stayed put and simply watched. Here is the odd thing he came to my foot, stopped seemingly starring at me then it struck me. Thoughts of reincarnation, although our species are so different that one couldn't even fathom any sort of communication I thought the spider was still attempting to convey a message.
At this point squishing the spider was not an option, what if?..........

I have moments like this. I guess we might find out one day but unfortunately it will be after our passing.

After some consideration while there are no definitive answers as to the beginnings of the universe could it be that dark matter and dark energy are the real consciousness and we are a small part of this.
The visible universe (stars, planets, comets, gasses...basically all matter) only constitute a meagre 4% of our universe this based on current gravitational and light measurements. Could dark energy and perhaps dark matter be consciousness and we are small bits trapped so to speak in physical matter.
There are times when things you want to happen do. So perhaps in the end the Dandy Long Legs wanted to somehow convey this message as a small part of a larger consciousness.
Also possibly averting an untimely demise should I have thought nothing of this and simply stood up, (squishing him) while I walked to the house to refill my coffee.

Lilduke interesting that you post a piccy of the Helix Nebula. Orion is one neighbourhood of the sky that gives me cause for concern though. Betelgeuse may very well have gone supernova already, you see it's not the debris from the explosion or the likelihood of the resulting black hole, that in all honesty is to distant to have any effect on us (around 600 light yrs). It's the GBR burst given the possible orientation of Betelgeuse. Sure hope I don't have any nightmares tonight.
Perhaps Trashy is right I may need a Jack n coffee to calm my nerves and help me sleep, I get kinda worked up about these things.....
Getting back to perception of reality a very unsettling thought at least from my perspective are dreams little snippets of alternate realities? Could they all be tied together in which case might resolve a great deal of speculation as to the nature of the universe. The possibility of a multiverse I think is very real albeit no way to vindicate.
