where to camp around Coeur D' Alene Idaho

Heading down to Coeur D' Alene on holidays, anyone know of some good campgrounds down there? wanted to stay at the silverwood theme park campground but apparently you have to book 3 years in advance.

It's a bit late to get into any of the state parks now down there, espescially if you need services. Definitely recommend power (30 amp) to run AC because it gets dam hot down there. 3 years ago we stayed right in Coeur D'Alene at Blackwell Island RV park. Nice place, clean, along the river etc but little to no trees. I would stay there again for sure since it's pretty central to all the attractions like Silverwood and Spokane. If your down there for July 4th they have a great beach to hang out and watch the fireworks and boat parade.

Stayed at blackwell island last July. Booked again this year for 2 weeks again. Really clean rv park. Call ahead to book. Really busy down there.

I have stayed at Blackwell and have enjoyed it but not realy a camp and hang out place. There is a state park just north of there that is nice but probably hard to get in.
