Yep, The non locked out G4 felt squirrely and unpredictable, especially at the end of the day when your tired, one of the features of a G4 I do not like.

The locked out G4 held its line way better, and made the sled alot easier to ride.
The zbros ones is a easy and cheap mod, the skinz is horrible and has too much play in them and they dont last.

Nothing, it's the exact same rear skid.

A good way to do this is too switch out the rear
arm for a 2012 summit rear arm.
Can find them cheap and is better
Than running those kits.

No, that is all you need. If you had the front arm off of a 12
I'd use that too, but it is not needed.
