Where do you keep your license plate?

Alberta legislation requires we register our sleds and mount the plate on our machines. There doesn't appear to be a decent mounting place on my 12 Summit so have always kept the plate, registration and pink card in the seat storage compartment. What does everyone else do? I always prefer avoiding attracting any attention from the law so would like to comply. What do you BC & Sask riders do?

In Alberta, you are required to permanently mount your plate on the front or the back. Side mounting the plate on the tunnel is unacceptable. We were stopped 2 years ago and asked questions.

Even though it's not visible, I keep the lisence plate under the seat with the manual. It fits in there perfectly and you never have to worry about forgetting/losing it

As a saskie I mounted mine on my flap. Seems to work ok.

In BC we're "supposed" to register and display a big ugly decal on both sides of the hood....NOT the tunnel like most of those who register do. I personally will never register another sled in this province. It just went up from 7% to 12% sales tax on private sale of a used sled when you register.....not fawking likely!

I put mine under the seat with the manual too. Put it and the reg/insurance in a bag and used packing tape to seal them more.

In my backpack in a plastic bag with my insurance and registration. Got stopped 2 years ago at the green tower on Frisby and showed it to the cop and he said thankyou. Never hassled me about not having it on my sled?

Snow flap. It's gets mangled and twisted up there. But at least its on.

Leave it in your pack and drill 2 holes in your flap. Tell them you keep losing it and thats why its left in the pack now. That worked for me at Cataract 15 years ago. Lol.

I have mine under seat on xm. My old rev was on side of tunnel only because there was holes there already. Had them on flaps before and they get f'd up the first time you get stuck.

I leave mine in the garage, I carry the paper work. I have been asked for it, but I tell them that there is no mounting bracket and that I'm not going to drill holes into a 14000.00 machine. They have agreed with me. So far it has never been a issue.

My sask plates in my under seat bag and will be there till i get a warning. Was thinking of putting a street bike bracket between my seat and seat support but ill wait till i have to.

Something like this. And have it bent so the plates tight to the under seat bag on my pro.

Mine is mounted on the mud flap it just fits in well in the little spot right behind the rear bumper on my 2010 xp

Actually in BC:
Owner's decal

9 Every snowmobile registered pursuant to section 7 shall have affixed to each side of its cowl, or to another conspicuous place on each side of it, an owner's decal.

So on either side of the tunnel is acceptable. I've also seen people stick them on each side in behind the front shocks as there's usually a flat enough area there. Visible when transporting....tend to be covered/blocked with snow when out riding.
