My fav is still wrap a raw steak with bacon. Spice the **** outta it. Add banana peppers and onions. Put it in tin foil containers and freeze them. Throw them in as soon as you leave the truck (depends where your cooker is. If it's near Y-pipe it's too hot). By the time you sign in at cabin and head to the alpine and make a few pulls you can smell it. Time for a break and a medium rare steak! Add a block of old cheddar to compliment it and gourmet meal. Throw another prepackaged tray of wings or jalapeño Mac n cheddar in for a mid afternoon snack and life is grand. Another good one is Costco bacon wrapped chicken breasts. They come in a pack of 8 and two fit in one tin.

I found them at Sobeys. The ones at Safeway were a little smaller. Can't remember the size offhand but my cookers are Muffpots and the trays at Safeway were either too small or too big. Grocery people on yellow head trail sells them in bulk too.

Wow you got a good selection going on there! Looks like I may need to go buy me a muff pot. No one seems to like it when I bust out the stinky can of tuna....

I have the hot dogger and just put hot dogs in. But i only used it one trip. Buns and ketchup/mustard in the pack. Nothing like a warm meal on the hill!

K little tip. I take a mega pack of ground beef cook and season it. Mexican taco seasoning is wicked. Save it in little packs in the freezer
pull it out the night before and add to perogies covered in cheese, nacho chips, or some beans for a wicked arse meal on the hill.
make sure you use parchment paper. My faves I love shrimp and scallops with the canned sliced baby potatoes with garlic butter and parmesan cheese. Chilli is fun. I love a higher protien diet. So steak is WICKED with peppers. I cook it the night before, about to scales of done ness compared to what I like. I like mine medium, so I will do a rare steak on the barbe or in the pan. Add it on a bed of potatoes with peppers and seasoning in your muff pot. Holy doodle! wicked! You can do dessert too. apples with cinnamon, brown sugar, butter and granola bar crumbled on top is wicked.
Have fun!!

I was in Costco the other day and came across some cabbage rolls. I have to say, "they are the best commercial cabbage rolls ever"!

Cook in the oven at 375F for 1 hour and let them cool. Two of them fill the aluminum foil tray and what a feast......Mmmmmmmmm

After cooling, I pre-cut mine into bite sized pieces and laid them into the tray and topped them with the tomato sauce. 20 minutes in TheThing and they were superb.
