had an old 70s monza fast back and dropped one in it it was damn quick.About the same as an S10.It you want to get real stupid get both the front end and rear end weighed after dropping the motor in and bolt enough weight in the box over the rear end to balance it out.You would be totally amazed at the performance

give women the vote now all of a sudden they have opinions too....:eek:

well if your asking opinions, I absolutely love my Toyota. I guess it just depends what your going to be using the truck for. My Tacoma is great on fuel, has basically the same towing and payload capacity of a typical 1/2 ton, but in a V6. Its rugged, reliable and you cannot deny the fact Toyota has excellent resale value. Tacoma still currently holds better resale value that Tundra even. May not exactly be in your price range, but I was just giving my two cents.

Good luck on the truck hunt!

I worked in the automotive industry for many years. as a mechanic.
Ford,Dodge,chev.

They all have good and bad points for sure.

Take a close look only a few companies make most models anyway...

Just be happy with what you get..

Remember members on here have a lot of experience with vehicles

i bet! we've had 3 s trucks , awesome trucks! all were yard trucks but all were fun to drive and do donuts with! lol deffinately buy another , not the 2.8 as previously mentioned.

i love those old 350's , friggen powerful! we had an 87 chevy 350 4 barrel , pulled a two story barn over with it! then we had some headers put on it , the mechanic put the wrong ones on and it blew up a day later:mad::( i miss that truck

So for someone that preaches about Jesus and being a good Christian ... I would say that the "STFU and calling someone a douche" was not to cool. Seriously??

So back to trucks..I am not a FORD girl..but whoever was talking the old fords with the 6 in it, we have a few of them kicking around, been abused by many people and they are still great running trucks AND good on fuel.

"When I Say "I Am A Christian"

by Carol Wimmer

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I am saved"
I'm whispering "I get lost!"
"That is why I chose this way."

When I say..."I am a Christian"
don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need someone to be my guide.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
and pray for strength to carry on.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
and cannot ever pay the debt.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
my flaws are too visible
but God believes I'm worth it.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartaches
which is why I seek His name.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I do not wish to judge.
I have no authority.
I only know I'm loved."

a friend sent this to me and ive kept it ever since. thanks!
