Figure out how much money you want to spend, then look on kijiji or the auto trader.Find the sweetest looking truck that is in your budget and go get it...If you don't like it sell it and start the process all over again.

There ya go worst case scenario ,you get it and don't like it and have to lose a couple of bucks selling it..You are on the island so should be lots of rust free low mileage trucks kicking around there, try craigslist as well.

they liked the fuel though. stay with something along the yota,s-10 lines if possible. but with the s -10 stay away from the 2.8ltr gutless pos imo.

Put a post on here as well .Tell people what you want to spend never know someone may have something kicking around that they would get rid of.

Teeroy had a good point way back. Those ford 1/2 tons with the straight six are damned near bullet proof. Fair on fuel and hauling a sled would be a non-issue.

Chevs are thirsty machines, there is no doubt.

You will find something, just take your time and get something nice for the year, they are out there.

Lots of talk on here about which truck to buy, when it comes down to the nitty gritty, buy what is a good deal and in good shape( your opinion on that is what matters, you are driving it everyday ) also don't blow your budget on the truck, keep a little on the side so that you can afford to fix it if something was to break down or it is in need of repairs.

The Ford Ranger with a 4 cylinder engine would get great fuel economy and be a reasonably priced unit in a good used category and haul stuff around for you.
