Mine was a '73 Nova. Grandmother bought it brand new in 1972. My parents drove it for a while. Was handed down to me in the early 80's. I took it upon myself to rebuild it from the ground up, Roll cage and all.

1984 Suzuki Samuri Long Body. It was indestructable as long as you keep the hamster under the hood feed.

My first car that I bought myself back in 83 was the 66 Mustang.
(worked three summers to save up for it)
I was lucky enough to inherant the 63 vette.
Still have them both...

First car was a 61 bel-air 4 dr. Had a straight 6 in it that lasted about 3 weeks and changed it out for a 283 out of a 64 biscayne. Went like snot could get 3rd gear rubber with a three on the tree. Good car for $1 for the car and a 26 of capt. morgan for the engine. Found it in pieces a couple years ago and tried to get it back but the guy who had it figured it had solid gold floor pans or something he wanted WAAAAAAAAAAAAAy to much for it.

wow...just had a flashback. the first car I ever got to drive was a gold colored '64 Biscayne with a 283. it quit on this guy (big hole in one piston) when he and his crew were building our truck shop back in '76, he left it in our yard and never came back for it. I was 11 or 12 when a buddy and I got it running, we sacked the snot outta that thing in the fields. we wore our dirt bike helmets while driving it, we would haul azz in reverse as fast as it would go, and let go of the steering wheel (armstrong steering)....it would spin so fast it was a blur....lol.

with the hole in the piston, the crankcase would fill with gas vapour until it ignited....it would make a big blue cloud when she finally blew, almost stall out, and away we'd go again.....after adding another gallon of used diesel engine oil....:d

good times, thanks for reminding me.....

I had an 83 GMC Jimmy and tortured it for years. Muffler went to hell, I could shoot flame out of the pipe after down shifting coming into town to tear it up.Gave it to my sister to drive for her first vehicle and she traded it on a NEON while I was away working...Still pisse me off.
