First car home on back of Dads Tow truck in 1968 a 1957 Morris Minor 2 dr. took me ayear to get it running, started driving it the day I turned 16 ,December, Man was it a Cold little car..BUT,it was mine..
In 1970 drove it to Kelowna and stayed at a freinds place,They had a border who was trying to sell a 57 Pontiac 2 dr ,with a 327- 3spd on the floor,,WOW,and $450.00 too, so stayed in kelowna all summer picking fruit till I paid for it. made a Tow bar and towed the Morris home, Gave it my dad who drove it work for 10 yrs.I sold that Pontiac to a guy who still has it today.
and I run a towing business like dad did.have my own collection of stuff now.

'67 Super Beetle with fiberglass flipfront end and 6" wider than stock fiberglass rear fenders with fatty rubber. Was a fun little car for 10 days and then I was rear ended (parked) by a '68 Strato Chief (drunk driver) and the 1500 cc engine was all of the sudden my arm rest. SGI wrote it off. :(

Mine was a huuuuuuuuuge late 70's Ford LTD. Green and rusty. I was driving down the road and the wheel popped off and just about hit my dentist as he was driving by! Was fun though, I could fit most of my ball team into it.

1959 Merc meteor then 1959 Merc station wagon then 62 saratoga, 62 chevy bel air, and, and, and, Funny thing, they all would only last a couple of months then they were destroyed. engines would blow up, roofs would cave in when they were upside down for a little while, They just would not run again after they were parked in sloughs overnight. I just don't understand why people say they just don't make them like they used to. My cars now last a lot longer than those did:confused::confused:

1946 Cheby stylemaster. Must have been 30" long. Used to put 15 peeps in that thing to go to gravel pit parties. Had a rumble seat and one of those old school swivel searchlights {real good with aircraft landers in it}. In grade 12 we put her on blocks, cut the roof off and turned it into a dual 8 seat hot tub. Also the wiper motor went right away so I tied a loop of 50lb test thru the vent windows for wipers. Whoever got shotgun had to clean the windows!
