I like your style LHF.... I bought a wedge chassis totally in pieces in 2010...lexan clear hood triple piped 1200 price motor 174 3 inch absolutely insane sled...some guy from Rocky Mountain House wanted to trade me a 2011 m8 turboed cat but wanted to drag race me for 2 different prices depending who won the 1/8 mile... needless to say the wedge mod destroyed his m8 3 times....after the race day I was not interested in his cat one little bit.....sled went up North then to boondocker for 300 hp nos kit retro fit....lost track who has it today... nothing sounds better than a triple.... sweet music...

I'm trying to sell my M8 turbo cause my 1160 spanks it.

Go ahead and laugh, but the biggest game changer in HISTORY has to be Mercury with the introduction of engine reverse and CDI ignition in 1969. Took decades to come back, but now everbody's using them. That's a game changer.

And aluminum tunnels, but I'm not sure they were first with that.

And yes, I've ridden one. It was brand new...I was 13.

2003 Rev wins by a long shot! It was the inception of the rider forward snowmobiles. I snow checked the 2004 Summit Extreme Traction Highmark with the 159 in the Spring of 2003.

I’m trying, but I Can’t think of a innovative sled at the moment, I’m still trying to comprehend and get past the MIND PHUCK that Ozone girl keeps throwing out there. Such a headache. Not sure who needs the meds, me or her.

In later years Fuel injection and turbos, in the mid to late 90’s the stretched out 136 2” tracks. 97 Polaris 700 twin I remember being a big deal. Rider forward rev chassis has to be up there too.

I don't know about "game changing" to me that falls in the same category as those that use "flickable", they are both nonsense and laughable.
Over the years changes to snowmobiles is what has brought to the table what we have today.
Milestones in sleds started back, way back and if it was not for those little changes things might be very different today.
Here are just a few of these little but major ones that impacted the industry majorly.
In 1966 Arctic Cat introduced slide rail suspension.
In 1972 Mercury was first with electronic ignition and Yamaha that same year introduced the first oil injection system for snowmobiles.
First fuel injection in snowmobiles from Polaris but first successful batteryless fuel injection from Arctic Cat.
Independent front suspensions first intro by Chaparell.
As much as many give credit to BRP introducing the first rider forward with the 2003 Rev. the pyramid concept was taken from Fast Industries from the Blade model.
It was never a BRP innovation.
In 1998 BRP introduced the first to industry reversing engine for reverse RER in a limited model 600 seriesIII Rotax.
The majority of innovations we see today were never lead by one manufacture but inspired by custom builders, most all innovations are taken by the OEM from the aftermarket mod builder. Refined to fit their needs and marketed as genius, except quality is lost in mass production.
There are thousands of game changing ideas that have come through, the list could go forever but honestly its not the big things its the little things that changed the game to what it is today.

There as been alot of innovations in the industry over the years, that changed the industry.
Lund pointed out alot.

In terms of altitude compensation.
We seen the ACCS system from polaris, along with doos H.A.C. If I remember right Arctic cat led the industry in EFI back in those days.
Now we have doos factory 2S turbo. In my opinion this is a game changer, and it will change the two stroke industry moving forward.

Do you remember the aluminum skis? They were actually not as popular than the plastic skis that were being developed back in the day.
