I just found the cheapest 9mm in town and bought it. Taurus PT series. Been pretty good. Don't really like the trigger but no issues at all and I've put over 1000 rounds threw it. Since then I inherited my grandpa's 1911 Colt .45. Love it :). I am way more accurate with it, I don't like the smaller clip, more reloading lol. But I like everything else about it :). Happy shooting!!

Pheonix is the highest priced place in Edmonton. The last time I bought a handgun from there I swore I never would again. I had to go back 4 times because of my temp att. Usually you get it faxed to the shop you buy the gun from. I finally had it emailed to me and then produced it and took the gun home. It was such a run around and they couldnt care less. Found out P+D had the same gun for 100 cheaper and wholesale even cheaper.
where do you have your range membership?

I just renewed my license. I used to buy one every year at sherwood park fish and game but this year they capped the membership at 3000 for some dumbass reason. So I couldnt renew there. I was checking around and had to get one quick. The best solution a coworker suggested (as he did) was to join wild west in the mall. Cost me 70 bucks plus everytime I go it is an extra 10. It works for my att and allowed me to renew my restricted. Way cheaper then pheonix. I havent been shooting alot in the last 2 years so for now it works.

Yep. They have two different ones. The cheap one you pay 10 bucks each time you go. The one for 200 yr you dont pay additional fees. The only other thing is you have to buy their ammo. It sucks but still the cheapest indoor range.

I LOVE my mosquito. That being said, they are a little finicky. If I have any advice to give, it would be use CCI mini mags for ammo. With almost everything else I've tried (especially Remington), you'll jam on your 10th shot. This can be fixed by polishing your feed ramp, and reducing the ledge that's there, but I understand that it can be a little intimidating to take a Dremel and some sand paper to your brand new pistol. Plus, the problem is solved, easily enough, with the correct ammo; and it's really not that much more expensive. The extra cost will save you soooo much frustration.

I bought the sport as well, but I wish I bought the threaded barrel instead. The front piece on the sport can get a little loose while shooting. If you leave your front site in the stock location (on the sport extension), and it does loosen up, you can't expect any kind of consistency. Luckily, it's easy enough to move the front site to the slide (something I'd suggest you do right away).

Anyway, happy shooting. I'm no pro, but I've tinkered with the Mosquito quite a bit. If you run into any problems, or questions, shoot me a message. I may have already bumped into that issue.

I had a huge brick of Remington ammo, and had read a bunch of stuff about them jamming. So I just kept shooting, thinking there was "nothing" I could really do.

One day, at the range, another mosquito owner saw the problems I was having and suggested mini mags. I'll never go back. I'll shoot the Remington through my 10/22.

Buy a bolt action 22 rifle. Good for all the crappy .22 stuff that wont shoot in your semi's.

My Ruger 10/22 seems to shoot anything. The very occasional pinch, but I'm also using those crappy Butler Creek 25 shot mags most of the time.
