RIght on thanks for all the info you have given me.
I will also be plowing with my quad so that is a factor i have to keep in mind.
The lighter tires is because I dont want to swap clutches and stuff to handle exta load from big ass heavy tires and plus a heavy tire is just unsprung weight on your suspension. but i under stand the new tire will weigh more then my stock tires because the new one will be 6ply.
Had a set , one of the poorest tires I have ever used .imo..
Out of round , terrible wobble . The lugs are way to long hence , when cornering they tend to roll over a little ... in other words completely scary on any hardpack . They do not clean out well . In sand they dig way faster better than a Mexican with a shovel ....
Not even close to a zilla or a mud bug ( another great tire )

Also you will want either spacers or offset rims to bring the tires out slightly. Not sure if you have the single or max machine but mine is the most stable machine I have ridden with the longer and wider wheelbase.
I run outback max on my sxs. In the winter I throw close to 1000 studs in them and they work unbelievably well. Spring time I take the studs out. If I get stuck in the snow it is because none of the tires are touching the ground. The tires I have on my quad are at about 70% now with 2600kms on them. The silverback tires work great on that quad but now that I have run a more square cut tire I prefer them. You can turn them into a run and climb out easier IMO. Ill see if I can dig out a pic on my quad.We have the same machine. 2012 outty max 800.mine is the ltd model. I will look into the tires you rec. Thanks for your advice.Do you think these tires will do good in snow as well?
Or try these ... every one loves them .. can't keep them in stock ....hahaha //uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170408/a9f2f25b16fa7e5899b7dc075868e562.jpg

How many set of tires have you tried? How long have you been into quad or sxs? I'm new to quads. I'm a dirt bike guy and there is not much for tire choice on them. I just got my quad mid last summer.
Never seen those before what's the brand name
