Started with my Alterra after the Cadomin trip. Took apart the front, needs new ball joints (still original from '16, so I think I did good!), water came out both front bearings after greasing them. The back needs 1 new bearing and could use new bushings. There's a little movement, but that will wait till next year.
Wifes TRV should be fine. It will get torn down next. Have to wait for my parts to get room to move.
Mountains are hard on machines!

Cleaning it again. Mice used the floors for there home and bathroom. Ronh and I changed the transmission output seal, removed driveshaft and serviced then replaced carrier bearing system. Changing 4 of the broken axles and converting the brakes to solid rotors. Need to have the holes machined, cannot drill the holes to 15 mm. Installing gated shifter. Changing fluids in transmission and motor. Thankyou RonH for doing most of this. Tough to do with one working hand. I sucked out my old fuel. Bought a tube with copper end with a ball at cycle works west, that is slick makes it real easy to siphon fuel. All areas were not affected by water or mud intrusion. Changing belt too. Machinehead need your help, need rotors drilled, solid ones don’t get rocks in the groves that prematurely wear out your pads. You can’t buy them though and have to modify a set from another Polaris machine.

Today RonH and I removed bent front bumper, straightened then pressed mounts on frame till they were true. Remounted the front bumper. Got a new replacement from Stacey at UTV Canada, it was old stock and red so have to drop off for powder coat. machinehead/Paul has the rotors at Wynn machine, he should have those machines by Wednesday afternoon. Got some new sweet seatbelts from UTV Canada. Bought Ron a set for all his help. Got the one axle I was short. Once the rotors are done we will start replacing each side and get the axles all replaced. Cleaned and changed all fuses and reseated the fuse box. Did some repairs to the seat foam. Still need to change oil and filter, replace belt,
Fill up transmission with oil. Install battery, seats and new seatbelts. Install new rear hitch, change winch cables. Ron h installed the gated shifter and the remote grease nipple for the carrier bearing system. Should have this ready for the upcoming brazeau atv poker rally.

The one picture is of my front crossmember, we were pulling it out with a 4WD Backhoe with a 24000 Toe strap which snapped. All I could say as that was the worst stuck ive ever had. In sand/water over the doors. Left for the night as even 4 or 5 side by sides could not even budge it. Brought in 4wd hoe, took 4 hrs. to retrieve. All axles broken, carrier bearing broke, no water in engine or trans.

All bearings changed out to heavy duty OEM Polaris bearings. Brake rotors changed over to mudrat and severe duty pads, had to have them modified to fit razor. Gated shifter installed. Changed oil and filter. Attached front bumper. Put PRP seats back together and had to press and squish the front of the seats a bit to fit in. Installed battery. The back bolt to fill the transmission is seized, can’t get it out and Alan screw has stripped. So for now we filled through the breather. See attached video, it worked very well. We measured and put what was required plus a few extra ounces based of my recommendations. It started and ran good. Thanks to RonH for all his hard work. The unit has 2130 km on it.

Got the back hitch replaced. Changed bolts with new. Got front winch cable replaced. Changed a few rotten switches, cheap Chinese rocker switches all fell apart. Spent some additional time pressure washing with the hotsy. Installed new mirrors. Got lighted whip fixed and new flag installed. Ready for the rally this weekend.
