I'm looking at not using Ves gold any more in my 16 rmk, I'm just curious on what people are using and the results.

Standard Polaris blue as recommended by my dealer for years.

I have had no issues with ves gold, all the Doo riders that I ride with use it as well as it smells better than the Doo oil. Therefore I buy it by there barrel to save a few $.

Used ves gold in a dragon that had top end done once and sold it with 10,000 km on it. Maybe it was just luck. I have always stuck with what was recommended. Oil and trail passes compared to everything else in this sport is cheap. Just my two cents.

I personally don't like the VES Gold. I run a semi-synthetic made by shellbourne. Its more expensive but i like the properties that a semi-synthetic has to offer. I would go with any oil that can offer you the semi-synthetic.

Switched over to Polaris Race Oil. Put a jug of it and a jug of VES outside overnight the race oil flows much easier at cold temps. Used it since new on a 16 SKS and a 17 Switchback Assault, haven't had any issues.

Was that 10000 km of being towed behind another sled. That’s by far the most km I ever heard of!

I use the oil they recommend when on warranty then usually switch it up with shell synthetic oil, it’s cheap and easy to find.

10,000 is the most you ever heard of? That’s hardly a season out East lol.

It was a 700 and not the eight and it was never pulled anywhere although I did pull a few off the hill. It still ran like a top when I sold it.

700 were good! My 800 the first motor blew at 1460km the 5th one was a 1690km. One time it didn’t make it out of cycleworks before it blew!

Not talking about out east. I know they ride lots of there. You can’t tell me heard lots of dragons making it to 10000 in the mountains. 3000 is pushing it. They called them dragons cause you were always dragging then back to the truck.

Sounds just like my 09 800. 1300 trouble free km first year then after the "update" couldnt get more than 75-100 km on an engine. Was a great time! LOL
