Shop manual says

P/N 417 300 166

Go to Riverside and get the proper belt.

166 is a newer belt found on the revs. I think it has a different angle as well as width?

417300127 is what most of the ZX chassis sleds run. I also use this on my S chassis.

Ronnies, BRP etc all have microfiche online so you can look stuff up yourself.

Might want to check alignment, center to center and belt deflection for your new belt.Have alignment bar if you need it.

try the floating clutch spacer first. about 20$

may solve your issue.

if not then i can send you the alignment instructions.

even with the clutches aligned i still recomend to float it.

blowing belts can be a symptom of internal clutch issues and required maintenance also

Maybe a loose or broken motor mount, backed off torque stop, dirty primary/secondary.What does it do different since starting to blow belts, low rpm's. high rpm's,different engagement? Had a 01 800 summit and got 2 seasons on a belt most times.

last weekend it was AMAZING! smooth shifting and everything. this weekend before I blew the belt it was pulling 7500 rpm and only doing 80 kmph. it seemed to pull hard to a point and then stop??

Thats how those clutches work. They pull hard then hit a wall.

worn out internal components, missalignment, improper belt, incorect belt deflection.

this is what you need to do.

pick up a NEW 127 belt.

open up both clutches and give them a good cleaning and replace the springs and other normal maintenance items if required.

clean both the sheaves with brake cleaner to get rid of foreign material in the sheaves like previous burnt belt marks.

order the floating secondary spacer 20$

throw a 3" vent in the shock tower to get some air flow over the clutch system.

check the alignment with the specs from the service manual. i can send you this.

clutching is the most overlooked item on these sleds and people seriously dont understand the performance they are losing from having dirty worn out clutches.

all in all you might be looking at 100$ in parts + a belt and you will have a happy sled.

dont throw money at a new belt without addressing the issue. as it will happen again

springs only last 1000-1500 miles. if you are not creating enough belt clamp they will slip and create heat.

there are alot of items in the clutch system that may apear to be ok but really are not.

other things to look at are the ramps, buttons, rollers and springs/orings. even the bushings on the sheaves can create issues.

ill send the specs soon.
