what are the best running boards for the pro.

I'm 300lbs and need less snow build up on my pro 163 was thinking of the diamond running boards but not sure if it will hold my weight..I need wide boards I have size 14-15 boots and grip..

I agree 100%, the CR boards are better all around. But hardcore asked "how the snow clears out" and IMO the air frames can not be matched in this area.

Definitely go with the airframes. There is no comparison at all with snow evacuation. Ive had the inserts that look like CRs boards and they are only marginally better than stock. With the airframes you NEVER have to kick snow. You stop thinking about it altogether!

As far as the airframes holding up......dont be worried at all. Im 250 without gear on and ride my sled hard. Mine still look like new after a full season of abuse. Rode with Dan Adams last year and his looked new after a season of monster drops

wider is not always good , wide running boards will drag in the snow and slow you down when carving biggest mistake I see from tunnel builders that don't actually design there own tunnels. Polaris has always had narrow running boards so the chassis doesn't get hung up on the powder. We designed the open slots on the running boards with our tunnel kits back in 2003, now copied by most. We build our with open slots to let teh snow out easily but try to keep as much snow down, not allowing it to come up thru the boards. The air style seems good but lots of snow will come up thru the open holes as well. tighten up your pant legs. lol.

While I may not weigh as much as you, I'll tell you what I like about my boards on the pro. I have the Feethooker boards. They work Great, snow doesn't pack in and ice up EVER. I also like the fact that they have a tunnel stiffener. Super important for the Pro IMO.


The extra grip is nice too, especially in the deep stuff. I always know where my feet need to be, and I don't get bucked off as much. I love the fact that David matched Chuck Norris's Colors too. It was awesome having that option. (he even made my clutch vents match!) I've never tried the Airframes, I'm sure they Rock too.
