What are my options?

I blew a belt on my 2013 M1100 (this one lasted almost 1000 kms) this weekend and when I was changing the belt I noticed a bunch of stress cracks forming on the outer sheave of the primary clutch. Where should I be looking for a used one? $770 US is pretty steep for a new one so I'd like to go used.

if you can find a good used one, go for it.

try calling Echo cycle, they had a 2014 part out with very few miles on it. see if they have one left. they do a lot of used parts.

Stress cracks are normal, I wouldn't worry about it. General rule of thumb is if you can't fit your finger nail in it it's fine.

I have seen alot of sleds with these heat check's, they are not so much stress cracks. There is some normality to them, like mentioned if you cannot catch them with your finger nail you should be good to go depending on how many you have.
I have experienced the same on several of my own sled's and only once i ended up replacing the sheave's but it had gotten pretty bad.

You might want to check your belt deflection, a tight belt doesn't help creating heat at idle and prolong idling.

Heck no, those are not cracks, its just imperfection in the casting and the black dust is highlighting it. Never seen a clutch without.
Heat checks are always at the bottom of the sheave at the bushing, if you have any.
Go ride and don't think about it...no worries

Yup what Lund says. I can show you pics of 3 different clutchs in my garage, all have that type of casing spider imperfections. Slap a belt on and pin it

Looks to me like there are cracks right on the corners which is where the most stress would be. I see the casting marks in between the open cracks but it's actually dark in the corner cracks meaning there is a gap and the metal is not touching. Yes, a crack.
Its not dirt highlighting a casting mark. A piece of of cast aluminum made as cheaply as possibly for the masses, spinning at 8000 rpm with cracks on the obvious stress points would not be something I would risk my left arm for.
