WHAT ABOUT THE OILERS

Went to the Oilers/St. Louis game last niight and enjoyed it. We came out flying in the first period, fell asleep in the second and came back in the third. Great goal by Cogliano in the final seconds of the overtime period to win it. Who thinks the Oilers will make the play-offs?, long shot but they might.

They still have a chance, but they will need a lot of help from Vancouver and the other teams that are barely in the playoffs now. I will be cheering them on till the bitter end, no bandwagon jumping here.

my question is... how much are the refs going to affect who makes the playoffs?

Hemski should have gotten 2 min for running the goalie and St Louise should get some players with some heart that will smack guys who run their goalies over.

Lately, I think the refs in a lot of games are clueless and are going to help decide who makes the post season.

I gotta agree there, the officials have become a very real factor in the game today.While it does suck, I still think its better than the way it was before with all the clutching and grabbing.

Whaaaaat......Hemski was pushed. I was sitting right there and saw it all. Yes, the physical factor seemed to be missing last night. Did you guys see the one ref....he was huge!!! Bigger than most of the players. Wouldn't want to mess with him.
