exactly. Meanwhile, Canada lost thousands of jobs last quarter but picked up part time jobs….. as if a family can live off part time. IMO, if there are no qualified people in Canada then we have done a poor job in training our younger generation to fill those positions.

This is ****ing bull****, worse than the TFW program. The only thing that needs to be changed with the TFW program is that you can come over and work while Canadian citizens are being trained to do the work. Once a Canadian is ready your ass is back on the plane home. Look at how senior those jobs are, if this goes through the Canadians will be the ones working the Timmies' drive thru while the New Canadians fill the management positions and good paying positions.

no one should get in as a perminent resident for a few years until they've proven themselves to be honest hard working indaviduals... or else they get the big boot!

So lets get this straight, governments cut funding to post-secondary institutions and then proclaim trades as great future careers for young people, and now due to the lack of educated individuals in the professions we now have to import foreigners to do work Canadians could do, where's the logic? At some point we Canadians are going to need to stand up for ourselves.

If the complainers about these employment programs and all the other BS our govt's shove down our throats don't do anything other than complain on the internet, your govt will keep shafting you and making their friends in business even richer.
