Your is a possessive – it means something belongs to you. The word you're is short for “you are.” Check out today's grammar comic about the difference between these two words, and be sure to visit the Kaplan blog for more examples of your and you're used in example sentences

can't see the forest for the trees

can't see the forest for the trees in Culture
can't see the forest for the trees definition

An expression used of someone who is too involved in the details of a problem to look at the situation as a whole: “The congressman became so involved in the wording of his bill that he couldn't see the forest for the trees; he did not realize that the bill could never pass.”

Back at ya , It didn't have your name on it but I recognized you right away.

Self-righteousness (also called sanctimoniousness, sententiousness, and holier-than-thou attitudes) is a feeling or display of (usually smug) moral superiority derived from a sense that one's beliefs, actions, or affiliations are of greater virtue than those of the average person.
Self-righteous individuals are often intolerant of the opinions and behaviors of others.

Sure we do, we're just not being hypocritical aholes to our neighbors.
Maybe if there are so many people from BC in favor of the pipeline they could step up and counter protest the NDP idiots on their front steps in BC/Victoria.
Nobody had a problem stepping on a charter flight to Ft Mac from Kamloops, Kelowna and Vancouver to reap the fat paychecks every two week for years.
There should be some support right back at this time!!!!
No more charter flights....wonder why???
Between what BC and Trudope promotes, the jobs are not coming back.
Neither are alternate investors.
I'm sorry but this is YOUR image on the world stage, don't like it, get out and fix it.

I find any article that exposes the hypocrisy useful, it only stings because it is your image getting bashed, and rightfully so.
Just like Alberta image getting beat up because we are led by a spineless idiot.
Just turn the tap off for a month, everyone's pain would be over on both sides of the border.

But no let's just drag this out for maximum damage.
When clean/green power is ready to actually support our economic needs without support from oil and gas industry I will help shut the tap off permanently.
Until then some people better vote smarter and speak up.

Harsh? To bad.........so is the reality of unnecessarily suffering families.

I have never and will never support or vote for an NDP or Green government. I voted Liberal and live in a Liberal riding with an MLA that has been vocal about supporting the pipeline. I am busy working and supporting my family amongst other volunteer efforts so I don't exactly have the time to go down to camp fairy dust and support the pipeline. If you work in the industry maybe you should do something about it?

I think all logging should be stopped in BC.
Its bad for the environment.

Do you live in a wood framed home? I would actively protest a logging ban as that would directly affect my livelihood and ability to provide for my family.

I did my part and voted Liberal (same as Federal Conservatives for those who think our BC Libs are the same as the federal gov) and wrote two letters to my MLA expressing my frustration with this BS of a war. As for going to Vancouver/Victoria to protest, I have a job to do and support the Alberta farmers by buying their crops so NO time for standing in protest lines. If you feel so strongly on the protest method then by all means jump on a plane and head over.

Yes but my house is built with a mix of imported Saudi and Venezuelan lumber.

That's unfortunate, it's an inferior product and must be quite old as the Canadian lumber industry has successfully supplied the vast majority of our domestic needs for nearly a century.

Same with oil but it's 2018.
Every industry wants to see other industries fail.
It's the new Canadian way.

Are you referring to "Get Along" by Kenny Chesney? Not a big fan of his but do like the sentiment :)

Kenny Chesney just recorded a song for you guys.... I say let the oil flow so we can keep the timber rolling down the highway!

Wow this pipeline is really dividing Alberta and BC
Even among the mud and snow group.
As was said before Horgan has no choice but to go along with the green party if he wants to stay in power
Danielle Smith handed the Alberta election to Notley so I have respect for her or anything she says
