I don't think that its about being po od because many were and still are. I honestly believe its more that people realize that separation isn't actually possible and it's probably easier to get some kind of reform with the election system or inact some form of change.

I figure it's probably just easier to move if it comes to it.

i ask the same question, looks like they raised in the neighborhood of $100,000 from the numbers i saw at $20 a pop.

biggest problem i see is they need a real leader, someone less emotional, that has the strength/tenacity to lead. till then i agree it may not go much farther!

Or does it end up in another vote split?

Just wait brother..... there are some of us who shed a tear when we speak to an audience, some of us who's great grandparents moved here in the 1800s when they were 16 from Europe to escape Socialism; because they were literally told from their parents there is nothing here for you, go somewhere else.....

I assure you the movement has not ceased, we wait

Edit...
Also out of the blue, but random for your amusement that has no direct affiliation with Wexit...

The silent majority is still out there

Hoping to be at the next rally, if you're there too ? I have had to miss almost all because I HAVE to work and cannot sacrifice my consulting job just yet.

That could happen, i don't think provincially but Alberta federal likely. Only a split Alberta federal vote won't really mean much as it is. With time and Trudy's penchant for self destruction, hopefully we will find out soon?

hmm, there is always hope that something will happen, looks like most will take a wait and see attitude, just what Trudy is looking for.

The feds are playing lip service to Alberta and Jason Kenney right now, saying the right things and trying to tamp down the wexit movement. In a few months, when the same old $hit returns to play, when Quebec starts bragging about how smart and financially astute they are, and the feds return to grossly favouring them, the anger and frustration out here will return.

Jason Kenny is heading the wrong direction to get a fair deal for Alberta, instead of heading over to negotiate with a spoiled brat. He should be heading south to negotiate with a guy that will get things done and get alberta moving again. Of coarse if Kenney can get over his Canadian loyalties and open the doors to the America and Trump and vise versa. Alberta would be ...way ..better off. And no more american borders. First thing he could do is put Trudeau and his terrorists on the no fly list.

There is no hope for that media outlet. Garbage news and garbage programming.

Trudy just shrugs off the wexit movement. He doesn't care about western Canada and our economic problems that he has caused.

I think he is correct in saying “ Alberta wants a strong future “ . I don’t think it’s possible with the diversity within Canada that he speaks of. A strong future requires likeminded leadership with a common goal. Time to downsize and become a little less diverse. If we can’t get pipelines to tidewater, stop sharing the wealth with the people preventing it. The west could secure a better future very easily. Stop paying for university students education elsewhere and start paying for our own children’s post secondary. This idea of diversity is a joke. It’s just a downhill slope election after election. Time for some positive change.
