We are from Manitoba and NO SNOW YET!! We are coming to Alberta for the holidays and would love to go for a ride or 2. The wife and I and not very experienced and would like to know where we could take out short tracks for a nice ride within 2-3 hours of Calgary.

where are ya in manitoba that there isnt snow
three choices cattaract creek (west of longview ) a good variance of trails or
crowsnest pass nice trails easy riding or a little further west to inn on the border(corbin) just dont expect the trails to be in that great of shape yet

We are from Morden.. we have about 6-8 inches all in the dirches. have been out a bit but still not enough for the grommers. We lived in Calgary for a lot of years but went to golden mostly. With short tracks now that would be a very bad idea.

Golden still isn't that bad of an idea. Quite a few trails to cruise on with the short tracks! Blaeberry is 50+km of trail(if the snow is good down low. There are others as well........just call ahead to one of the rentals outfits for info

The more things change, the more they stay the same....the infamous Saskatchewan snow that blew all the way from Lloydminster....
