and stay out of the whiskey, i bet it could be done in a couple hrs lolI did my E & S modules this summer. a couple 2 or 3 hours every wed night for 2 months....if you concentrate on it and dont do it with a bunch of friends heckling you...i would say 3 or 4 long evenings....take lots of pics for reference when putting it back together
Sorry - I meant the e-frame module! Has a big crack in it near the left front motor mount !
Just did mine with a crack just above the motor stop. Pulled it back in place, sandwich two aluminum plates around the origional member with aluminum epoxy and some bolts. Held up to 3 days of riding so far.Sorry - I meant the e-frame module! Has a big crack in it near the left front motor mount !
Gee - might have to stock up on beer - kinda wondered about time - motor r&r - remove track and drivers , drill and grind off rivets / seperate from tunnel and front member then reinstall /reassembly-
air chisel is way faster for the big rivet things!
You don't even need an air chisel. Just hit them with a punch and hammer. Most people bolt everything back together with M6 Bolts and Nyloks. I don't know about 29 hours flat rate either. I believe a tunnel and both modules is around 11 or 12 hours. Could be wrong though. I have seen an E-Module done without removing the engine. The engine was ratchet strapped up to the handlebars to get it up out of the way.
