May as well get a dealer to do it as they will have to reprogram your key(s). Shouldn't take more than a half an hour.

Sorry - I meant the e-frame module! Has a big crack in it near the left front motor mount !

I did my E & S modules this summer. a couple 2 or 3 hours every wed night for 2 months....if you concentrate on it and dont do it with a bunch of friends heckling you...i would say 3 or 4 long evenings....take lots of pics for reference when putting it back together

Most dealers charge out at least 6 hours to do that and that is tough even if you have done a few. It's gonna be a few beers anyway. Lol.

will try and stay away from whiskey - maybe fews beers - so I'm guessing ten hours or so - havent seen sled yet ! Just a couple of pictures!

Gee - might have to stock up on beer - kinda wondered about time - motor r&r - remove track and drivers , drill and grind off rivets / seperate from tunnel and front member then reinstall /reassembly-:beer::beer::beer:

Just did mine with a crack just above the motor stop. Pulled it back in place, sandwich two aluminum plates around the origional member with aluminum epoxy and some bolts. Held up to 3 days of riding so far.

air chisel is way faster for the big rivet things!

You don't even need an air chisel. Just hit them with a punch and hammer. Most people bolt everything back together with M6 Bolts and Nyloks. I don't know about 29 hours flat rate either. I believe a tunnel and both modules is around 11 or 12 hours. Could be wrong though. I have seen an E-Module done without removing the engine. The engine was ratchet strapped up to the handlebars to get it up out of the way.

Good call on the hammer and punch. One decent hit to the side of the rivet head and thet are gonzo

I bet that would work! I chiseled mine off was super fast. I bolted it as ^^^^ so I wont get to try the punch :( next time :beer:
