As cattle prices go up so do calf prices and feed prices. As feed prices go up so does land prices. We are seeing irrigated land go for unreal prices. Like $700,000 for a quarter section with water rights but no pivot, getting ridiculous.

they may not control tne price as we know it, but they will stall the said produce at the border till it goes rotten or there price demands are met, just ask jessie ventura, he is investigating right now. or your taking it just a little to serious, i'm thinkin. it's the internet everything u read is true, is it not.

Bang on! Over the years I have imported a lot of fruit and veg from US, S.America and New Zealand and you cannot believe the border costs, inspection fees and xray costs. It used to be done at random now, it is about 2/3 of the containers we bring thru. In addition, since 9/11, all Canadian bound containers imported via US ports (90% of containers coming in from overseas go thru US ports then trucked/railed to Canada) are inspected as well. That is a $750 fee each time in addition to the Canadian fees. I cannot tell you how much we have had to dump in the landfills because of spoilage caused by excessive border time waiting all because some guy in customs decides to take his time.

livin on beer now. food just gets in the way. although if ya grow your own at least you know what your getting. and the extra effort/cost may be worth every penny, especially quality of life. the chinese people making our food could care less what goes in the mix. there not eating it.
