Haven't been on the water myself today but based on boat traffic is guess it ok, or there are gonna be lots of sick peeps soon

I have never seen clouds parallel pointing North to South. But moving to the West.

HaHa!! Actually I just looked in my weather book. They are called Lenticular and Wave clouds. Apparently very common in Alberta because of our close proximity to the mountains. Now don't ever tell anyone I didn't teach you something. Lol.
