How many of you out there think we could use a forum on this site dedicated to: SNOW, New Snow Fall and were, snow conditions (powder, packed, trail etc.), total amounts in your area for example.

In stead of looking and posting in numerous forums to find out if "such 'n such an area got snow last night", it would be nice to have one forum were us guys and gals could post "recent snow fall" in their area or ask about "is there decent snow in ???".

After all it might be easier to get an idea of were to ride when you can have one Forum to get Snow info and Post the same?

Maybe a good idea maybe not? What does every one think?

My moose friends in my back yard think it's a great idea...

Well I am not a sledder so as to a "Snow" spot I don't know.

but I have to say if that is your dog sitting there letting the Moose come up with ideas, then you need a new dog.

most my favorite areas to ride are listed here already and I feel people are doing a good job at posting conditions. Between that and the weather report its all good . But then again I don't ride too many rural or flatland areas mostly Swanhills or the mountains. Somebody posted on here somewhere a cool website something like ama dot com then go to cameras and you can get an almost live shot of conditions all over the province.

I agree that all the areas we love to ride are already listed, I still think that one forum dedicated to Snow conditions and quik updates (by members) in all areas would be nice... it's just easier to have one specific forum then surfing around I guess...

The "Live camera" web page is great but really does'nt give anybody an accurate estimate of snow depth or trail conditions? Also, the concept behind "Snow and Mud" is to get all us users to interact, not just link to another web site.

There are alot of members here that ride the Flatlands as well as the mountains and would benefit from knowing a bit more about who has snow and where! :twocents:
