Anyone have pictures of the 272" RMK from a few years back? I can't even find it on google. Back when the first 144's were coming out someone photoshopped a picture of an old RMK (like a '98 or '99) with an extra long tunnel. Then they photoshopped a camoplast track to make it look longer. I'd love to find those pictures again because I bet modern sleds are longer than what the authors of those pictures even had in mind.

one of my first mountain sleds was a 1985 skidoo SS25 which was the same as a Formula SS......it had the 462 liquid Rotax with the rotary Valve.....no IFS of any kind.....just leafs....I streatched it to a 136 and bolt some 1 1/2 plastic paddles and put some wide plastic ski skins........it was a fun sled and it was a work out to get to the top of the hill.......had to go everytime behind the house or it got to deep to get to the top........We did get way more snow back then too.......it used to snow 2 -3 feet at a time in revy.....when is the last time it snowed that much in one dump?
I think the SS25 was an '84, it was 'doos 25th anniversary model and pretty quick in it's day. my first "mountain" sled was an '85 formula mx, same engine but with their boat anchor attempt at IFS....the wedge shaped hood would nicely direct any deep snow right into your face as it drove itself down to china. mine had the 1.25" plastic paddles that would get zero traction on ice, and spin out when you tried to cross any paved roads. found out pretty quick that the "mx" designation had nothing at all to do with "motocross"....that thing would register on the richter scale anytime you got air with it....and puke suspension parts out the skid. ah, the good old days....

You should load the Enticer on the back of the Doo and that way you can always carry a spare sled with ya....

Its not a good idea to use plastic paddles anymore as they tend to break off and litter the mountainside. They also had a nasty habit of breaking off and jamming up in the drivers. You are much better off buying a rubber paddled track.
