I got a 2018 summit x seat I’d trade yea. It does site a little higher than the expert one

Thanks, but I’m only looking for the ultra low expert seat. Even the 47c seat form the 2020 is taller than the 21 and later experts.

Yep. The 21-23 experts have a 4” tall seat, sales brochure calls it an ultra compact and lightweight seat. The x, freeride and edge have what I believe is the 47c seat. Which is 4.7” tall called the compact and Lightweight seat. This seat came out on the 2020 experts. Sp’s are 6” tall seats.

That’s great info on the seat difference. I myself am not a fan of the tiny seats. My 2020.5 actually has an SP seat on it; guy I bought it from swapped it out at Martin’s when he bought it cause he didn’t like the little seats either. Hopefully someone swaps ya. Great way to change the look of a couple sleds for free.

Great info. BRPs compact vs ultra compact wasn't all that informational.

Would have loved to trade you, but mine is .7" too tall I guess

I got the expert seat… they changed the foam or something. It is hard as hell. Not really great for much other than eating your lunch.

Ya, I remember hearing Norona (I believe) mention an even smaller expert seat in the 21 release video.

I went and measured a 2020 expert seat vs my 23

2020
Weighs 3 lbs 8 oz
Front height sitting on the table 3 3/4 inch
Rear height 5 3/8 inch

2023
Weighs 2 lbs 12 oz
Front height 3 1/2 inch
Rear height 4.5 inch.

Here’s some pics from the 22 catalogue. It’s easier to see the difference than the 23s with the battery box behind the seat.

Ya never thought about it until I rode my buddies 20 after riding my 22 last year. The new seats are hard. A lot like a dirt bike seat. Doesn’t bother me too much, I prefer the weight savings.

Not much difference between the x and expert, but the SP definitely has some extra girth

you do realize you are talking about less than 1lbs savings.

If you had to buy this seat, it would be waste of money. i can see why youd want to trade. realistically youd get more from titanium fasteners for the same price than purchasing the seat in weight saving.
