HELLO to all vintage sled collectors. I would like too see what everyone is collecting, I have had this old sled for about 10 years. pulled it out of the bush at a buddy's acreage . it was in rough shape , had too evict a big family of mice and a squirrel . I gave my friend a 6 PAC of kokanee for it . when he seen it 4 months later , his wife said "hey we have one just like that in the back 40" . She flipped when she found out it " was theirs " and wanted it back, but the deal was struck , we are still friends. 1969 POLARIS PLAYMATE i believe it is a 162 cc, have original track brand new, parts are hard too find , so it's not exactly stock, but my daughter won 1st place at the drags with it .

Nice sled ponyboy. Just gotta love the old iron. I was a little gun shy of posting as there is not Vintage thread on this site. I have about 35 Sno*Jets. I am always lookin' for more. Shows and vintage ride days are a lot of fun!

Cheers!

I'm sorry to tell you ponyboy that you are not going to get rich buying and selling vintage sleds! I have heard about what people think stuff is worth, but... It usually doesn't sell for big money unless it is a race sled. Just charish the old equipment and play with it. The ones that are worth the most are a pain in the a$$. They are loud, temperamental and a lot of fun! I will try to post a pic or two of some of my stuff. Enjoy

Great little sled Ponyboy. My 76 TX440 was is real rough shape when I got it. It was sitting out in a pasture with cattle. I had to strip it down to the last bolt and rebuild it. Other than the motor, there isn’t much left that is original, but I tried to keep the original look.

I picked up this one last fall. Got it from a guy that works for me. His uncle bought it brand new in '67. I even got the owners manual, the original bottle of oil that came with it and a starter kit which includes a spare belt, spare plug, spare springs for the rear suspension and a few other original goodies, all in a canvas bag. If you notice the jerry can on the one side. It's because some kids poured sand in the fuel tank, so they jimmy rigged the sled to run off of the jerry can.

That looks the type I first got a ride on back in 72 in Nova Scotia. There is absolutely no suspension in that sucker is there?

I had a panther '77 303 rotary but that was 15 years ago sold for a 100 bucks but wasn't into snowmobiling yet. Hindsight is always 20/20 eh?
