Reading some of the statements on this thread makes me wonder the age of some of these guys and if any of them have a criminal record for theft!Obviously they never had to deal with someone stealing their 'stuff'!!Have some piece of crap go through your personal belongings or your buildings and see if you still feel like getting violent is over reacting!!!Insurance doesn't cover everything!!I'm only 40 and I'm seeing the next bunch of kids coming up and its only going to get worse!!I see how they talk to the teachers in elementary school because they know they will get away with it!!So why would they be scared of cops or getting in trouble!!A start would be bringing the strap back into school!!It would scare most kids except the real pieces of work!!The kids already know at a young age that any trouble they get into doesn't matter until your 18!!My kids know right from wrong without beating them and I knew right from wrong but a record for catching a thief in my truck when I was 18!!!I got it worse in court than they did!!So thats why I wonder why some of these guys on here are so soft towards the thieves!!I'm tired of the excuse that they were kids just being kids!!Maybe the parents should be held responsilble for some of their kids actions!!

I agree with parents teaching their kids right from worng and about consequences. I do not however believe in holding the parent accountable. If you can prove the parent was negligent in allowing the kid to get away with everything then yes by all means hold the parents accountable. But some, myself included did everything humanly possible to keep our kids on the straight and narrow, the one still got into all sorts of trouble. Again thought the parents, and children is only just the beggining of this..... The core of this issue is our governement and policing policies that allow this all to happen

there is more than one way to beat your kids, physical and mentally, you sound like you know how to scare a few kids.

Hang them in appropriate areas. Transfers liability instantly as long as the fugger can read so I'm told.
I'm not saying what he did was right or wrong but a deccision was made in the heat of the moment and there are consequences for that.
A person has the right to protect private property...but to what level? Alot of us have been there, in the heat of the moment. I have a very short fuse when it comes to certain things I'll admit. What I would have done in his shoes? I don't know...

Get caught? If you have farm plates you are allowed to burn purple fuel. As long as a certain % of your fuel is used for farm purposes

I agree, you wont see this same crap if you knew people were armed and allowed to protect themselves and there property. The stupid a$$ sh!t heads would really have to think about it before they did it. As far as it being young kids on a bender, bull butter I say. Octane boost specially formulated for farmers, you have to be special to obtain it.
