Thats a kangaroo catcher on the front of that thing so I'm guessing it's an Australian road train.

I watched an episode of "Dangerous Drives" featuring the Australian road train just like this one. Very impressive trucks indeed!

makes u actually wonder why they only do that in australia ?

i mean our roads here are straight enough

even pulling roadtrains just from lets say edmonton - saskatoon -regina-winnipeg would pay of i think

just haul the trailers than get smaller trucks to deliver the individual trailer in town to its destination

Our roads may be straiight enough, but I doubt they are flat enough, wouldn't take much for one of those bad boys to spin out. Also, roads in Australia are pretty solid, whereas our roads fluctuate too much with moisture, freezing, thawing, etc. :)

What someone needs to do is come up with a form of transportation that doesn't share the road with passenger vehicles, you could pull a series of trailers hundreds of meters long, carry hazardous goods, perhaps some sort of off road train if you like...........
