I like him too but his anti gun stance is a real sticky point with me. Once they are gone they will never come back.

Youre 100% right. Let's hope rubbing elbows with some western conservatives will educate him into changing his position.

I guess you want another 4 years of Trudeau?
Fawk no!!! Not even close. But, I also want to keep my firearms.

Are you saying that I only have the choice of Trudumb or O'Leary? If so, I give up on life.

There's other options my friend. Erin O'Toole. Maxime Bernier. Among others...

Now, I'm not saying that I support ANY of these crooks, as I need to do more research first. But O'Leary is NOT the answer I'm looking for.

I agree. I don't think oleary is the right guy either, but if he modifies himself on the gun control issue that might change. Its gonna be great listening to him trash Trudeau and the liberals though!!

One thing we need to do is get aligned behind a suitable candidate ASAP ...
No potential candidate is going to suit everyone ... For sure ! BUT , infighting and dragging up imperfections for months & months only hurts the conservatives chances !

We will all have to make some concessions , none the less , think of the alternative ....!

Does gun control really matter? I'd rather have a properous country, have a good job and income rather than worry that I can't own a specific type of gun. These stereotypical election issues are only distractions from the business of running an economy. I own several guns but would gladly give back a couple restricted ones if I knew the economy ment more to politicians than carbon taxes and selfies.

Do I like Mr. O'Leary?.......No, Do I think he is stupid? No. Is he a career politician that
keeps his mouth shut and reads from a script wrote by lawyer's and ass kisser's? No.
IMO at least he is somewhat "real", he understand's people need job's in order to pay tax's
to keep the ball rolling. That's more than I can say for anyone else I've listened to.

I believe gun control does matter. It's a question of property rights. We should all be concerned when a government decides to outlaw and confiscate legally owned and acquired private property. The existing firearms laws in Canada do a good job of screening out the unlawful and undesirable. Criminal gun use in this country can usually be directly connected to big city immigrant gang and drug activity. Statements by politicians regarding gun control, are almost always inaccurate, untruthful and are intended to focus attention away from other issues and the inactivity and laziness of the political class.
Prosperity in this country has nothing to do with gun control, and it can be argued that gun control takes money out of the system that is better used elsewhere. Imagine if the 2 Billion plus the long gun registry wasted had been put into health care, elder care, education etc etc etc.
History has shown us too many times that incremental gun control eventually results in total confiscation.

Gun possession rights were enacted to protect us from politicians. Without them, we will have no way to defend any of our rights whatsoever!
