Probably some stupid drunk was giving them heartburn. I think they should ban alcohol from sports arenas or at least set a limit on how many people can have, some people just can't handle their alcohol. I'm sure Vancouver and every other arena has their fair share of knuckleheads too.

according to the local news it was more than one fan but like you said add booze and you have a bomb ready to explode. Vancouver fans would NEVER do that they just go out and riot fans against cops..... 2 teams let the best one win:d:d
That happened in 1994 during the last cup final run.

I know that they said on global news lastnight, as one of there reporters has been down in boston since the start of the series that every canuck fan they talked to said that they wouldn't be wearing there jersey tonight because they didn't feel safe. I understand it's the finals and all, but like they said boston has a reputation for being unruley and some of the most rowdy and unfriendly(towards other teams fans) city with a sports team.

Will be a good game good to watch.

So you believe everything the news tells you, I certainly don't. Anything to get the fanbase riled up plus you have no idea how many fans they talked too. Take it with a grain of salt.

I wouldn't feel safe wearing a Boston Bruins jersey in any arena other than Boston Garden and most definitley not Vancouver.

It's not just a Boston thing, it happens in every arena/stadium. Look what happened to that Dodger fan in San Francisco, damn near lost his life just for wearing a Dodgers jersey and the guy lives in San Fran.

Not everything no, but they talked to one guy who was witha grpoup of 40 or 50 people that went down for the two games in boston and they all said they will be leaving there jersey's in the hotel for tonights game. That is sad IMO. Saw several boston jersey's in the stands for the games in VAN and never heard anything of them getting harrassed.

hippies tend to be non threatening... even in a large group a prius is still a prius and a smart car is still a smart car...

Just sayin...

Like I said, it's not just a Boston thing but Canuck fans hate Boston so I expect nothing but negative press from them. If it were Philly or NY or Tampa it would be the same way.

Their in an opposing teams building, what do you expect them to do, throw them kisses and buy them drinks? As long as nobody gets hurt it's all in good fun. If words bother them that much then maybe they should stay in their hotel room and watch the game.

Ok, enough of that crap, i've been hearing this sh!t for the last week and half and it's gotten old, so i'll leave this thread to you Canuck homers and i'll stick to my Boston thread. Cheers!

YouTube - ‪Ben Eager hit on Daniel Sedin - 2011 WCF Game 2‬‏

YouTube - ‪Jamie Mcginn Hit On Aaron Rome Canucks @ Sharks WCF 2011‬‏

These were not suspensions and Rome's hit was?? WTF?? Mike Murphy is a Goof!

No consistency at all!

Rome should appeal the suspension, on the grounds of precedence. This hit was far from the most aggressive attempt to injure.

To change the rules at game #103 in the Stanley Cup Finals is Fawked!

Hey grizzly did you see this hit between Boston and TB game 5?. Yup Canuck players are dirty. I did not watch every game of this series so I missed this hit. Seems like a very lop sided NHL doesnt it. Just for the record, I agree that Rome should be suspended for 1 game.

The reason that rome got suspended was simple the NHL looked at it in the fact that horton got injured and would be out for the remainder of the playoffs so they figured a man for a man. That is why they suspended rome for 4 games. Because even in the replays they say that horton should have some responsiblity in looking where he is going when heading into the offensive zone especially at the blue line. It is what it is and we move on.

Dont get me wrong i dont want to see anyone get injured no matter what team they play for. But also in any professional sport people get injured.

GO CANUCKS GO!! LET'S SHOW THE BOSTON BRUISE SOME CANDIAN STYLE HOCKEY!!!

I sat outside the new convention center on sat before game #2. Some kid wearing a Bruins jersey walked by, we kidded him and gave him chit. However no one threatened him or insinuated anything other then a few good one liners. As I have said earlier I like the Bruins almost as much as the nucks, I wore a bruins jersey in the old Montreal forum for a bruins habs game in the late 80's. The ignorant hab fans were snippy for sure, but bought me a few beers after the game. I'd treat any other teams fans with the same courtesy. Matter of fact we told the kid on Sat. we'd buy him a pint if he was brave enough to go to the pub we were heading to. Heck I'd even buy that skirt wearing AK57wagon dude a brew if he'd show up!

Jeremy Jacobs is the worst owner in the NHL.This retard is the Bozo who has led the bard of governors down the G.Buttmann garden path. I'm not one to bi@tch much about the officiating, but surely anyone with a shred of reality can see that any infraction committed by a bruin nets no suspension ever. To give Rome 4 games is to finally start making the punishment fit the crime. WTF happened when Paxcioretty (sp) was railroaded. I realize that J.Jacobs is a Mac daddy bozo who needs a good beating himself. Mike Murphy is a fawkin puppet. Check my posts on here about Chara & Lucic's hits that are more suspect then Rome's.

I quote Doug Weight "This should never merit more then a 1 game at the most".

It was a late hit by 432 milliseconds. that is less then 1/2 a second. The hit itself except for the timing was legal. Mike Murphy is a fawking Bozo who needs a good beating himself. If Shanahan is no better they will risk losing lots of fans. The NHL is not exactly a league without it's problem children. Rome has a clean history when it comes to hits etc. and this ruling stinks because to change the rules on suspensions halfway through the playoffs is fawkin jerryrigging the sport. Anyone want game 5 tix and game 7 mine are for sale $5,000.00 each row 24 center ice. I'll go fishing and buy a new boat instead of watching the referee's and Mike Murphy Kangaroo court. Gary bettman is a fawkin midget who should go back to basketball he's ruined our sport now!

I hope Horton is OK! No player deserves that while earning a living!

Murphy is an idiot, funny this isn't the first time he's screwed the Canucks, anyone remember his lamea$$ call last year,

As NHL vice-president of hockey operations, Murphy was forced to make a tough call during game three of the first round of the 2010 Stanley Cup. Murphy disallowed what was first ruled as a 3-4 goal on the ice for the Vancouver Canucks against Murphy's former team, the Los Angeles Kings. The incident is one of many that has called for greater NHL transparency from the public.[1] The official ruling stated that, "Video Review was used to determine whether the puck was kicked into the net by Vancouver's Daniel Sedin with a kicking motion. Upon review, it was determined that the puck was propelled into the net by a kicking motion. This was not a deflection. The direction the puck was moving and the force of the skate were the determining factors in concluding 'no goal'".[2] According to rule 49.2 of the NHL, "A puck that is directed into the net by an attacking player’s skate shall be a legitimate goal as long as no distinct kicking motion is evident."[3] Later, in an interview with CBC Hockey Night in Canada, Murphy admitted that the puck was not kicked in a "distinct kicking motion", as the official NHL rules require, yet Murphy maintained his position on the judgement.[4].........

Now we have these comments from him, worried about the American TV ratings,

BOSTON - Mike Murphy is demanding a stop to all the "crap" and "garbage" in the Stanley Cup final.

In a series that has produced The Burrows Bite, the mocking of Patrice Bergeron by Maxim Lapierre and the heinous diving that is more common at a World Cup soccer tournament, Murphy and other NHL officials met with both the Boston Bruins and Vancouver Canucks Tuesday in an attempt to quash the embarrassing antics.

The circus-like theatrics have become a blemish on a league that is hoping to build on strong TV numbers, especially in the U.S.......

Conspiracy theorists have a reason to be worried that the cup will never been seen back in Canada, Feb. 1 1993 Gary Bettman takes over the NHL as commissioner , just before the Montreal Canadiens accomplish what is to be the last time a canadian team wins the cup. It's all about American TV ratings, why would you want a Canadian team to win, that'll turn off the American TV's for sure, and to have a final with 2 Canadian teams in it, as long as Bettman and his merry gang of Americanized puppets have their way it'll never happen. It wouldn't matter what Canadian team were in these finals, they would have to overcome the same things the Canucks are facing, lopesided officiating from top to bottom.
All I can say is, it's been a hell of a run thus far, and hopefully it continues, but it's going to be tough when at best your 5 against 8, ( 5 Bruins and 3 officials).
GO CANUCKS GO!!!!!!!!!
