People have said Detroit is old for atleast 5 years and haven't seen it happen yet. People saying Penner is slow are so funny for his size he's pretty fast, and points speak for themselves. LA has what it takes, they will go far. I'm looking forward to Canucks vs Oilers last 2 games any bets oilers beat up the Canucks and they go run and hide.

Nucks will be resting, coilers will be hopin fer lotto success! Rypien will kick any oiler azz any time ask stortini how that went! 5'9" 175 lbs. and stortini's 6'4" 220 and does a great snow angel!

Figures ya wanna yap about fightin, none of that happens in the buttman NHL playoffs.

Not that the coilers would know much about the post season!

Your pretty slow if you think "beating up" pertains to just fighting. It means hitting and wearing them down, which is what is usually the difference between winning in the playoffs and the reason the canucks can't go anywhere.

I'd like to see him fight Macintyre though......

Says the team without a cup! Oilers have how many?!?!? And when is the last time vancouver was 1 game away from winning the cup? Nuff said.

Gonna be a million I told you so's from everyone when canucks are eliminated everyone and their dog knows they don't stand a chance.

Good one from the fans of the cellar dwellers. keep living in the past one day history will repeat its self for you.

1 game away?????? inch or a mile my friend, no trophy is no trophy.
Its far easier to sit on the sidelines and say i told you so then it is to stand up and cheer when it counts, but not making the playoff four years in a row will do that to your self assteam.

So true, it sucks to miss for that long, but when we stand up in Rexall Place, and look at all the banners hanging from the rafters, we know that our team has a proud history!!! We have had a lot to stand up and cheer for, you guys can't say that. Maybe this will be your year, but I hope not so we can say I told you so and affect your self ASSTTEAM!!!

I will bet anything this won't be the year. They don't have what it takes.

If a inch or a mile is the same thing, then not making the playoffs is just as good as going to the finals! Backed yourself into a corner there.

Canucks have the same opportunity to win the cup as every other team moving into the playoffs. Every team who has won the cup started with a dream to win one day and I hope this is our turn as a fan of the team and the game. The past is the past and cant change that but based on what we have seen from the team this season the future looks bright. So, Go Canucks Go!! :d

Lou folds to often under real pressure :beer::beer:

What this brave post from the land of Reimer, Giggy, Gusty, how about Cujo, Palmateer? Better get Johnny Bower back.

Our back up is better then any goalie the leafs have had in over 45 yrs. So how's the Brian Burkes truculence doing? Are the marlies really allowed to play at AC center? Kadri there's a great player, owned by the teachers pension fund. Talk about being owned by losers for the losers.

Like ya said more to the game then just fighting

Rypien career 119 GP 9G 7A 9:34 ATOI (average time on ice)

MacRetire career 64GP 2G 2A ATOI 4:31

Rypien can actually skate good enought to kill penalties as well as has a shorty and a SHA in his career. All this givin away 9" & 85 lbs.

MacRetire would get schooled, catch so many lefts he'd be begging fer a right.

The difference is MacRetire would be in victoria if he was nucks property, even the Moose are too good for that palooka. Ya actually have to be able to keep a NHL pace to play here. Must be nice to live the dream eh?

The Edmonton oilers are proud to select with their 467 draft picks in the 2011 amateur draft 15 players with NHL skills. Good Luck with that. BTW my neighbor has a Oiler Cup ring. He's 50, even he won't play for your alumni.

Re Grizzly Adams.

I wouldn't say it's brave post from the land of Reimer as I am close enough to Windsor and Detroit to be a Wings fan.

The way Chicago has been playing as of late,it could be a repeat.:beer::beer:

Something to keep in mind for all the Nucks fans as we head into the play-offs; it doesn't matter how many games you win throughout the year. If the last game you play in your season is a loss;....... you never won SFA.:beer:

Rick Rypien is back! Just assigned to Moose for conditioning! Might get to yell timber yet ya MacRetire fanz. Rypien should be in the line up when we play out the string against the Drafting superstar coilers. Tank a few so ya get Nugent- Hopkins or the swede:eek: hate to see either end up in ottawa.

Seriously tho I respect the oiler team & it's tradition. They are goin about rebuilding the right way. It gonna suck playing that team in 2 or 3 years.
Flamers however should pull the rip cord & get on with the rebuild.

If Calgary meets Vancouver in the first round my money is on Calgary. I just don't think the Canucks are built to be a play-off team...........like the RED WINGS!!!!!!!:d

Should not have signed Howard before the playoffs, :nono: Now he's finally sucked some dough outta Illich he'll relax. Holland should know better then to sign during the season. Howard would've been a RFA not a UFA I think. Nosogoode is well past his prime, Got Nabokov? Never thought I'd see that.
