Lets getter started. Stoked to see all of you soon!

Last wheeled attempt to access the Allan Creek shelter site was denied today!

30cm of snow and deeper wind drifts at 1800m

As normal, the gate at the 3km junction will be closed in the early season to prevent ice up of the main trail, but we have invested into repairs for the old way up in hopes to make it a bit safer for all of those eager beavers.

Good morning everyone.

Just a very quick update so there are no surprises.

The gate at the bottom of Allan Creek will remain closed until Nov 1 at least. A few folks got by and drove their trucks to the 3km junction when the trail crew was working up there. This is not the norm and we cannot have vehicles chewing up that access in the early and wet season prior to freeze up, so the gate remains closed as normal.

There is NOT ENOUGH snow up top to ride, or even down low to access, but it is coming and it looks like a great start to our seasons base. These mild temps help the new snow bond and strengthen vs freeze and rot, which creates a dangerous weakness down near the ground (scary). So we are doing good at this point!

We have been working very closely with the good people at Ledcor and FLNRO and will again have an alternative route into the Clemina area this season while we await the construction of a new piece of FSR.

Our trail crew has been hard at work on the sled area maintenance and we are very stoked to see you all soon!

It's starting to look more like winter up in the high-country. The weekend forecast is calling for snow and we are all hoping if falls in heaps and piles so we can get this season started.

At this time, access to all areas is still basically non-existent (in our minds) as we need lower valley snowfall to make the ride in a little softer and wetter...
If you are wanting to head out for an early season ride, our good friends at McBride Big Country Snowmobile Association - MBCSA are known for some great early season access to the Belle and Lucille riding areas.

A large batch of seasons passes will be mailed out today, so keep looking for yours in the mail. If you have not already done so, please consider a membership ($40) and or seasons pass ($250) to our association. A strong membership breeds a healthy and active association.

Any questions at all, please feel free to shoot us a dm, email or phone call.

Ride safe and see you soon.

Hopefully when environment canada issues a snowfall warning in BC you actually gets some.

Here in sask we get a snowfall warning issued if they think it's gonna snow 5-10cm... and we are lucky if we get an inch 85% of the time.

Here's to hoping.

I borrowed the daughters 600 and ventured up Allan Creek with Maxwell yesterday. Ok coverage from the main staging area, but was starting to melt away. Thin snow down low with only about 10-20cms until 1700m. Decent snow cover in the sheltered areas up top with 130-140cms found in the north / north east treeline meadows. Two think and semi supportive crusts in the mid snowpack are helping to protect us from rocks and hidden dangers, but there are MANY of them out there still.

Its still super early season which brings early season conditions but we had a great day actually. Glad I got to scratch the itch.

It looks to be hammering snow in the alpine right now. The snowline out the window is dropping, but its still raining at valley bottom in the village.

Pics and some video on our Facebook and Instagram.

Just a small video update from Sunday 14 Nov 2021..
So you may see what it's like at the hill.
Depsnolvr nailed the details..
We were careful most of the time...
We were happy to unload in the parking lot..
not spin out on the trail..
carve a few turns..
Make it back with no carnage.
We probed in 2 different places.. 60cm & 100cm in another.
