In 5 years the new every year spread has gone from $2000-3000 to this years reality $7000-10000.

Thats what it always cost me. I was down 13000$ on my 17 freeride when i sold it. It spent more time on the mountain then in the garage though.

I buy gently used now, cause i loose less $ that way

I rolled with the used market for years but got caught up with the new in 2017 2018 2019 2020 now I will ride the 2020 850t til she pops then I will be a broke sledder lmao

hope In 2025 they have a 200hp electric conversion to retro into a old used sled….. if it does not cost 40000$$ for the electric motor

Put a new short block in it at the start of the year, be less than getting a new sled.

Always remember people: warranty won't get your ass off the mountain. Id sooner buy a motor before it explodes 50 miles from the truck, than 6 year extended warranty. Thats just me though...

Several years ago I put one of my dirt bikes up for sale/trade. A guy offered his 2014 arctic cat m8 straight across. I met the guy to do the deal, going through the paperwork. He still had lien, (he was clueless and thought he could trade me and still make his sled payments) and still had 4 years left on his 8 year term. Total cost of borrowing was 24 grand. For an 2014 Arctic cat LOL

People don’t care …things cost so much money what’s the difference is you pay a little or a lot…as long as you can get the sled.

Nobody really owns anything anymore it’s just payments to use. Vehicles cost more then most people can make in a year. It’s just wrong.

Interestingly enough, my kids have a "Financial Literacy" class in elementary school. This is from my 6th graders report card.
