HAHA Lennyr, I fixed it for ya..;)

Hope grade 10 goes well for you this year, it can be tough to fit in. More so when you're a bit challenged intellectually.
Good luck.

Ps, don't wear your Doo shirt and socks everyday, you'll look even more odd.

HAHAHA, I hate doo too. I hate their marketing, advertising, pricing, all around cocky attitude of doolaiders that think there is no other decent sleds out there, their goofy apparell, bumble bee lookn colours ect ect ect. I will never own a doo hat, jacket or put their decal on my truck.........BUUUTTTTTTTT............I'm gonna ride the sheet out of my new 14' xm cuz itsthe most fun easy sled to ride that I've ever sat on.;) P.S. I did own a Pro and a 13' cat
You would be surprised how little brand loyalty governs my decisions, I buy what I enjoy riding, don't care what color , and as each of them make changes, yeah sometimes with growing pains, I'll switch if it seems like it'll be more fun or easier.
It was evident in past years that the Doo's sold for a bit more, as they should have with a higher purchase price, but with the introduction of the XM, still a bandaid in my mind, it did 2 things. It allowed people who didn't want to wrestle that friggen XP chassis around to enjoy the great motor they have and still enjoy the fun factor of carving and sidehilling and overall less effort it took to ride the M sleds and the Polaris mountain sleds, and good for Doo, it worked, they sold a ton of them. 12 and 13 M's seem to have their issues, Pro's have also, but both seem to be getting their poop in a group. The 13 Pro is hands down by a mile the most fun easy sled to ride I've ever sat on, and it has nothing to do with the fact that it's a Polaris, it's just built specific to its intended use, lighter and narrower, withou a bunch of goofy knuckles and pivot points and bendy side tracks. It definetly has its issues you bet, but what an awesome mountain sled, needs better cooling for any amount of trail riding tho.
I don't agree that youre gonna see much difference in resale prices, motivation of the seller being the wild card.

Lenny riding Maxwell's sled would be akin to the Pope hanging out in a peeler bar. Lmao!

It wouldn't bother me at all to ride it, I just hate mucking around on the same bunny hills day after day, the sled would probably need an injection of sled testosterone to be comfortable hanging with the sleds in our group. Probably be ok thru the trees on the way to the fun riding, sorta used to that I hear.
He hasn't said how much yet, my special price.

Sled testosterone? That would be more what the Pro would need. No?

Nope, it's a true blue, through and through, mountain specific chassis. There are other choices available, with more of a trail sled heritage, they sure shine on the trails, and with enough bendy twisty lean over things, they work ok. They sure would be tough to sell with out that sweet etec motor though, then the true merits of a mountain sled would become quickly evident.

jeez....what's 'doo gonna have to doo to shake this "trail sled" stigma? the XM is nothing like the XP on the trail, way too floppy to go fast I have found. my XP is a rocket on the trail, and a bit of a bear handling wise in anything but deeeep pow. I have a hard time not looking like a noob on an XM in deep snow.

and what has all this rhetoric got to doo with "used prices"?...................

In your mind its "rhetoric", but you're one of the folks who decide whatbto buy based on decal, not on the merits of each sled. Point is they all have years when major advancements or enhancements are introduced, and they all have had their failures, but the 2 biggest impacts on choice IMO has been the Etec motor, and the Pro chassis. Combine the 2 and I suggest that mountain sled would be pretty much dominate sales.
Thats why Poo is selling so Many Pro's and Doo is selling so many XM's, that's why the used prices are becoming more comparable despite the higher Doo purchase price.
Now I get for you and the true" Doo Tards ", that it won't matter, you're buying the Doo, but for fun lets just say a factory Pro chassis was available with an 800 etec motor, couple years warranty and Polaris clutching.
if you ride the mountains and didn't want that sled, I suggest you're not a Doo Tard
Just a " Tard ".

I guess getting back to the original thread topic the question is, what is a used 13 Pro and a used 13 XM x selling for on the open market last spring or early this fall. From what I have seen on Kijiji and this site and personal experiences an 800 km Doo is selling for around that $12500- $12700 range with sellers starting at $13000 plus. The Poos on the other hand are starting at $11500- $11700 range and seem to be getting that price. Is that not the range you got Lenny? There seems to be about a $1000 spread which would cover the initial higher price. Bendy ,twisty sleds seem to be getting great resale value?

Better go back and re check those numbers, I just looked in the for sale section, seems the first 3 or 4 Youll see are asking 11.5 ish, and maybe are sold. You're buddy was asking 11.5 not sure what he got, maxwell asking 11.3 , but that's probably about 2 grand for the autographed hood and he's probably got his picture on the sides. the rental fleet is 9500 for choice.
They are certainly becoming closer than they used to be and yes I think it would be disappointing to be paying more and getting the same, so I agree there should be a difference, but it's getting skinny.

Lenny, Lenny, Lenny........I have bought them all (except for the Yami) and out of the big picture (reliability, dealer service and satisfaction, and enjoyment of use) the Doo's have been the best for me since 2005. It is not the decal!

IMHO, maybe the higher Doo price has something to doo with warranty (that the Poo guys have to pay for?) and the different circumstances of the build location. I don't like the 15" track and I'm thinking Doo has maybe improved the clutching to my liking as I got 2700 km on the belt last year. Lots of times I think "I'm a Tard" but that just goes with the wisdom and treachery of being an ol' fart and not just being a "Tard".....:d
