Exactly, I'm surprised the RCMP wasn't all over that (maybe they were, who knows) because you're not even allowed to waive a gun around when protecting your home.
That would most likely be him. If he finds what he thinks are significant deposits, he may apply for a Surface Mineral Lease or License, but it will take him from time of application until approved at least a year, but usually takes a couple years to approve. Unfortunately, that area around the lake, if it has a lot of gravel, is going to be busy in future, unless someone can think of an environmental reason not to extract it. The government doesn't usually listen to opposition based on recreational activities as the gov't is in the business to make money in this province.
Maybe we can find one??? Or some burrowing owls. Those things can change 36 inch pipeline routes.
Tories corrupt?!?!?! Say it aint so!According to the lease contract, there are several conditions that have to be met in order for them to start gravel removal. One of then is Providing a new trail for off highway vehicles... Also according to local by laws they aren't allowed to extract gravel that close to a recreational area. How they got a permit there was very back handed and people need to know the corruption that took place here.
