Get ahold of Dragonweld28 on here. He has some awesome clutching kits hes come up with. Im going to be picking one up to try this wknd on my Axys 155 2.6

Theres lots to do but all depends on your budget.
Get a camso X3 or X3.2 and sell the stock track. Get a good set of drivers so you dont have to keep the track piano tight to keep it from ratcheting. Stock gearing is 19/44, going to 19/46 is worth the investment. Cluthcing... a clutch kit is a must. If you are feeling spendy, the team tied is amazing. The Axys 800 really wakes up with a pipe as well. Realistically, you just need a good clutch kit.

I highly recommend Ben's clutch kit (dragonweld28) I've been out 3 of the last 5 days riding. the first 2 days I wanted to run the stock clutching for a direct comparison, we installed Ben's clutch yesterday in my 2019 850 163 2.6 and my buddy's new 2018 800 163 2.6 we both noticed improvements all around and especially in the mid range my buddy's 800 woke right up. I know there are a lot of kits for these sleds to choose from and it can get a little confusing on which direction to go but I can say with complete confidence that you will not regret getting Ben's kit, he is very knowledgeable and has put in the time to make sure his kits work and his customer service is second to none.. if your unsure as I was prior to choosing, give Ben a call as I did and you will have all your questions answered. good luck!

Yep, the BRP guys set up about six clutches at a time with different calibrations on the bench and then try them out on the hill. Same goes with the secondary assy. Much faster...

Not that many.
more hp, lighter weight and a predictable platform and better manufacture support... that's enough for me especially riding a first yr sled, and if you know someone that wants a 2018 g4 175 let me know mines currently for sale :d

Dont have much experience with aftermarket drivers, have only installed two sets of Avid drivers but am planning on upgrading my track soon. Are the Powder Freaks much better or are they all kind of the same sh*t?

Powder freaks are much much better. They are rounded like a skidoo or cat stock driver and more precise cut. They are so much smoother and less rolling resistance. The Avid are very tough and very noisy. They rob power because of the squeal cut design and they pull the track hard into the anti stab kit vs letting it flo on to the rails normally.
I have one sled with Avid that will he switched to powder freaks this year. I was talking with Dave at powder lites asked if he could get me a set one day I stopped in and he was telling me when he was building the big hp 1200 skidoo Turbo’s they had one with Avid and it was ripping the clips right off the track spin it up in the snaps and you could see the track curl right around the drivers. Switched it to powder freaks and never had another issue again

4 sleds last year 2 with Avid 1 with powder freaks and 1 stock drivers. Acids were clearly way rougher and vibrate more then stock or powder freaks. Switched one set of Avid already and made a big difference in how smooth it is and can feel

The Avids are great but do vibrate and noisy . No question on that .
Stock ones are so much nicer at least on a Doo.

Powder freaks are just like stock Doo they are smooth.
Some guys say the 850 Doo is smoother with the powder freaks
