You will sure like that, perfect size tank. No where you won’t go with enough to return home. Mine is 295 litres and just run short at times.

Yeah on these fords I have no idea why they only put a 90L tank on them.

At first I thought it was cause they didn't have the room, but that clearly isn't the case.

Usually never pass a gas station cause I am always topping up, just incase.

Only need to fill it once a trip.
Just reach in is the plan for now.

If a guy pulls the ramp it is real easy, but I just turn the nozzle sideways and she fits in no problem.

I put a remote vent valve on so I don't have to undo the fill cap everytime I fill.

Plumbing the fill spout up through the deck seems to be a pain the ass in itself.
And then it will tempt the idiots.

I did put in a 2" FNPT nozzle at the front of tank just incase I change my mind about that. But for now outta sight, outta mind.

Did you try all of the thread sealants at the same time?

Which fitting? How long are the threads on each side, and what size are they?

It's a the 2" bung for the pump.

Normally I always put Teflon tape and a dab of liquid Teflon and I have never had a problem.

That didn't work so I brought out the tf-15.
Still no dice.

I have even considered back welding it...

I am gonna pull it out again here right away, just draining 400 liters on the ground.

5/8" thread engagement.
Or 7 threads.

3/4" is nominal, but that should do.

Have you tried a good wrap of tape with dope on top?

Has to be something mechanical wrong like a warped weldoulet or stripped threads does it spin in really loose? Try spinning pump into a pipe collar maybe does it feel different? with all the sealants you have tried something should have worked.

When I measure North/South and then East/West there is about 0.5 of a 1/64" difference. Would that be enough to cause me grief?

I went 8 layer of Petro tape and then lots of v2 this time, finger crossed I may have got it.

Oh and I went in one more thread this time.
