I have a manual and i have the latest box settings for the intercooled and non intercooled maps

If you want to fix it right put a BD box in it. It is over rich pre spool this is very common for an XM and if you unplug Aux injectors it will not go away. BD box can pull fuel from stock injectors no one else can period. Some XM are worse then others. I bet if you get the sled hot on the trail it will box way less ( ecu pulls fuel cuz of ect) XM suck to turbo cut your loss and go BD

Doesn’t matter who the timer is if the box isn’t capable of doing it it’s not going to happen. The Xci box is about the same technology ford used on a 1986 pick up its out dated even when it came out. It’s a low budget box that is limited to what it can do and only Aux injectors. Take 1200 dollars and buy the proper box and fix it right

I’m saying a Xm can’t be flash tuned. The best fuel control on the market for an Xm is the bd box it has electronic boost control and can minipulate stock injectors no one else can. If your not fussy any box will work and most can be ok but bd is the best

theres nothing wrong with boost it he just needs someone to give him the correct numbers.

Ya I can't believe dean at madmotorsports says he has done 100 of these rave valve delete kits but can't come up with one contact to chat with.... thot I would ask on this forum see if I can find one with a xic boost it... time will tell.... the problem with all these aftermarket sled shops is once they get your cash they are after the next person

What is the purpose of deleting the rave valves?

If you read back I explains the issue with the box. If ou undersdant electronic fuel injection at all you would realize that being limited to only adding fuel is never going to give you the best map when you at a turbo to an engine that with a NA base map. Pre spool mapping must change. This is why companies are moving to flash tuning or like bd on the 850 has controls of injectors or on the Xm they can modify stock signal. You can make 500 hp with a turbo sled if 300 to 6500. Isn’t right it sure takes a lot of the fun and confidence out of it and makes tree riding ****ty. That’s why I hate when turbo companies post videos wide open up a big climb. Need to see what it does when tps goes 0 to 100. Real quick especially with out the track moving

Have you ever tuned a boost-it box or are you just making assumptions?

You can change pre-spool fuelling with an XIC controller, i.e add fuel to help turbo spool. Sure you can't remove fuel, but why would you want to further lean out the leanest spot in the tuning right before the turbo spools?

My guess is because the exhaust turbine acts as a restriction.

My XIC powered doo runs like a piece of crap RIGHT before the turbo spools ;)

So change your tuning, add or remove fuel through the rpm windows, or change your threshold setting.

Just like anything computerized the XIC is only as good as the person who programmed it.
