Tub Trailer on Sled Deck

Anyone here have any innovative ways that they have secured their tub trailers on their sled decks?

I'm thinking I want to get a ball mounted on the headache rack, and use that for the front part of tying it down then use straps across the rest of it, but then part of me thinks I should back it onto the deck and I would need the ball mount to be removable and easy to reinstall.....

not me.... I'm "working"....... haven't picked up the tub trailer yet, nor my machines from Winter Storage

Watch your slope going up and down. I loaded my small cargo trailer on our 24' flat deck to head out. The angle was a bit too steep, broke the coupler, and bent the hitch on the quad.
I thought I was good, the trailer wheels were on the road against the curb, my sled trailer ramp was up the driveway, overall the drop of the trailer was no more than 32", still bent and busted stuff.
To answer your question about tying it all down: 4 straps from the trailer axle, 2 going forward, 2 going back. Then 2 more around the cargo trailer hitch to the flatbed sides with the tongue jack (flat foot, not wheeled!) slightly down. Rode like a champ to our destination.
The big trailer was the only way I could see getting two 2 quads, our cargo trailer with our camping gear and boat to our destination, Lakeland PP.
DOT will frown on any 'homemade' solutions to secure the cargo. Rated straps are the safest way to keep them happy. After that, whatever works I guess.

I would be more concerned about getting it up on a deck vs tying it down. Straps are the easy part. Straps over the wheels would be the best. But are planning on winching it up?

I would put a pulley on the headache rack of your deck and use the winch off the Quad and pull it up that way. I used to pull my trailer that I modified to hold my Seadoo, up onto the sled deck and lay the tongue into a “v” shaped receiver on the headache rack. I had a winch mounted in my headache rack to pull with though. I’ll try and post a pic.

Here is my buddies setup that I built him. My tongue holder is on one side as I hauled a quad also. Strapping it down is the easy part. Two straps crossed forward and two straps crossed backwards.
