Truck MPG/Litersper100kms??

Did a search for this, didn't find anything!!:(

Please list truck make, model, year, engine, mods (if any) average speed, kms on truck. If you wanna use the "lie-o-meter" or hand calculated figures doesn't matter.
Just curious what the differences are...:)

1997 Dodge 1/2 ton rc/lb 318 auto, 2WD, 304,500km, 3.55 (no mods...yets) MPG unknown I do know that I got about 450kms on the bottom half of the tank last week running back and forth to work...hah

'06 GMC Sierra 2500 CC/SB 4X4 Duramax w/ Edge Juice w/ Attitude, PPE airbox mod, EGR blocker plate, Magnaflow 4" downpipe back exhaust. Usually run the Edge on level 4 unless towing or 2 sleds on the deck, then run on 2 or 3.

Summer @ 110 km/h unloaded 13L/100km
Winter @ 110 km/h unloaded 15L/100km
Winter @ 120 km/h loaded (2 sleds on deck) 19L/100km
with trailer, all depends on size and wind

Mine drops off a fair amount on winter diesel. Another thing I've noticed is in the summer I get better mileage on #2 diesel in the US than the piss we get in Canada. Even in the winter, once you get to the interstate in Montana (do all my riding in MT, ID & WY), you can buy straight #2 and I'll run that if it's not cold.

2002 Dodge, 4x4 tow package, 6 speed std exhaust and cold air intake @110 14l/100 km full would be about 15.5 with 265 tires on with 285 id say its abot 1l/km worse

Like Beels said, in the winter it gets worse!

06 duramax, AFE cold air intake and 4" cat back exhaust. summer i run about 11.5-12/100km doing 110km/hr--i get around 750 kms/tank. winter it's down to 14.5/100km-- getting around 600kms/tank, of course that depends on how much warm up time it has too.

and according to my odometer and hour meter, i'm averaging 70km/hr over the life of my truck so far

2003 ford 6.0L all stock.

11 L/100 cruise set at 110km/h
13 L/100 cruise set at 120km/h
17 L/100 at 120km/h pulling holiday trailer with quad and gear in box.

09 f150 5.4 4x4 super crew 11l/100km@110 with just the sled deck on, 17l/100k@120 with 2 sleds on deck and 2 on trailer, 17-19 pulling 26ft holiday trailer, and 19-21 with holiday trailer and 2 qauds on deck.


oh yeah have a bully dog programmer, 285/70r18 nitto terra grapplers, and 120,000km.

programmer brought mileage up by 1-2l/100km and waaayy better shift points, tows and hauls way nicer than it did before.

right side O2 sensor malfunction (leaning right bank out giving me 1-2 mpg better fuel milage)
ingnition syestem all new
Lucas syth oil in diffs and engine.....will do tranny when I service it one day!

stock drivetrain with 265/75/16 BFG AT, Automatic tranny with overdrive, box removed with custom Alum flat deck

now with the 454 my gas mileage should suck but on the highway doing between 100-130 KM/hr I get between 18-19 average.....I did get once 21 MPG empty......

18 MPG going from Sicamous to kelowna with a turbo yamy on the back is pretty much the norm!

but in town pulling my equipment I get about 9-11 mpg

here is a few calculations I have

661 km to 96 liters or 389 miles to 21.14 gallons = 18.40 miles per gallon on highway at 100-120km/hr with sled on. had to use jerry can to get me to gas station on this one! lol never leave home with out one! lol 14.5 liters/100km

358 km to 45 liters or 210.5 miles to 9.9 gallons = 21.26 MPG at highway speed empty! this has been one of my best! 12.57L/100km

since my engine light came on (right bank O2 sensor running rich so engine is trying to lean it out).....I got 1-2 more MPG so if I got a programmer or custom chip to lean out the other side I think I could get 22 MPG easy! I also heard the 454 likes a supercharger and if you stay out of the fun foot you can get another 2-3 mpg, but I just don’t want to F^$K with it since I'm getting great mileage.....for a gas engine

I don’t even want to post my in town figures....or a trip to Alberta with car trailer with 8400 pounds on it......these suck, but still pull the hills at 110 plus.....

I seem to get better all around gas mileage than a friend that has the exact same truck except his is a 96 with a 350 and he has his box on instead of my alum flat deck.....I get about 2-3 more miles per gallon with the 454.......but don’t get me wrong.....when my foot goes down so does the gas mileage. I was thinking about a diesel, but I thought if it breaks down, I have to pay some one to trouble shoot it and fix it......with my big block I do all my own work.....and a diesel I think cost more for maintenance.....plus all these new diesel need major work between 100 000-200 000 km....was thinking about an older 12v Cummings if I was going to go that way. but I got my GMC 454 with 123000 km last year and it is a great work truck for what I need it for.......plus 2 sleds fit on it great!

'08 C/C LB SRW F-350 6.8 V-10. Run the snot out of it with tool cabinet on the back, 19-22l/100K. One thing I notice going with the gasser vs my old 7.3 is I used to be able to idle it all day, with the V-10 ,I idle during the day I have to get gas on the way home. It's like the 6.8 burns a certain amount of gas and it doesn't care if it's driving or parked.

2003 ram 1500 regular cab long box 2wd 4.7l engine. Airaid cold air intake, jba headers into 3" single exhaust going into a dual 2.5" out magnaflow, 4.56 gears, cammed, running 305/50/20 tires and some other little goodies. Get 14 mpg on a good day.

2009 ram 1500 regular cab long box 4wd 5.7l hemi. Bone stock, 22 mpg if I drive nice. Which I usually do with this truck.

04 GMC ext cab, 3" lift, 33" tires, 5.3L, cai, 3" Magnaflow. 60000km
Averaged 21L/100km pulling 12' trailer with 2 1000cc sleds to golden and back.
14L/100km doing 100km but hardly see's that lol usually 15-16 doing 110-120.
Needing reprogramming to fix shifting and for more updates.

2011 Ford F-350 XLT C/C 6.2L V-8. (really nice power for a big gas truck btw)

Empty 110km/hr- 14-15L/100km or 725km/tank (highway) Day to day is about 17L/100km

Deck 2 sleds 110km/hr- Avg about 18-21L/100km, but wind has a huge factor, last trip I fueled up twice arrived with just under 1/2 tank. on the way home, fueled up once got home with just under 1/4 tank. Head wind vs tail wind. (soon I'll be like a ship captian and plotting our travels based on wind speed and direction....)

4 place trailer or holiday trailer- 110km/hr 24L/100km.

2006 4wd QC LB 2500 295 70 17, smarty jr, flo-pro diesel exhaust

110kph 900km per 105L highway unloaded 11.6L/100k

700-725km per 112L of fuel city/highway unloaded 16L/100k

I don't really keep much fuel mileage because it's a 8000lb truck not a prius

i should add, like all chevy/gmc short boxes(unless you changed out the tank) the most fuel i have EVER put in is 92L, and i was right on empty--got over 800 on that tank--had a nice tailwind

1970 chevelle big block chevy 700 hp its not how many miles per gallon its how many gallons per mile haha iam guessing 8 miles/gallon
2009 f 350 superduty diesel pulling the 35 foot fifth wheel camper i get 6.4 miles/gallon pulling my race trailer to kelowna i average 31 liters/ 100km friggin awesome hahaha
2002 vette 32miles/gallon this car is awesome on fuel

when i figured it out for the trip to kelowna pulling the race trailer it cost me $43 bucks per hour hahaha should of took the peterbilt
